SUHSD Unconference
For Distance Learning
A Mini, Less-Structured Conference
After a month of at-home learning, would you like to explore more digital tools? Would you like tips from your colleagues about what's worked best for them? Do you have a tip or trick that you'd like to share? Later this week, there will be an opportunity to learn from your colleagues through online workshops ranging from 10 minutes to an hour.
Why an "unconference"?
It is a forum for colleagues to share their best takeaways from the last month of at-home learning. Sessions are offered without any pressure for staff to attend or even stay in a session for its entire length. It is based on Sequoia High School's successful event last week. Thank you to their team for spearheading and providing a template to expand to all district schools!
What makes it mini and less structured?
Sessions can be any length under an hour, with some as short as 10 minutes. We have two time slots in three days in which anyone interested can volunteer to offer a short online workshop. Advance sign-ups will be possible, but not required. KickUp attendance codes will be available at the end of sessions, but not required.
Do I have to attend any sessions?
No. Please plan to attend sessions if they can help you.
Do I have to stay for an entire session?
No. Please stay for as long as is helpful. Nobody's feelings will be hurt!
Can I offer a session?
Yes, please! See the link below to sign up.
