WFBMS FAMILY NEWS
October 7, 2024
Greetings Middle School Families,
The Wisconsin Association of School Boards has designated Oct. 6-12 as Wisconsin School Board Week – a time to raise awareness and understanding of the vital function an elected board of education plays in our communities. We would like to celebrate Wisconsin School Board Week and honor local board members for their commitment to the learners and staff of Whitefish Bay Middle School.
We are fortunate to have such a committed and supportive school board to represent the community at large. As a school board, our members create a vision for what the community wants the school district to be, making learner achievement a top priority. They do this by setting standards for success and continually tracking and reporting results. In addition, they form partnerships with other stakeholders in the community to solve common problems and focus on the need to continually improve.
Our school board members are:
- Kristin Bencik-Boudreau (President)
- Lynn Raines (Vice President & Clerk)
- W. Brett Christiansen (Treasurer)
- Nathan Christenson
- Sandy Saltzstein
- Dan Tyk
- Pamela Woodard
While we show our appreciation for the Whitefish Bay School District Board of Education in October, their contribution is a year-round commitment. Please take a moment this week to thank our school board for all their time, energy, and continued support.
Best,
Geoff Pontus
