Hello CDMS Colt Families,
Please read this information for our student drop-off and pick-up procedures so that you have up to date information pertaining to Cedar Drive Middle School. You can bookmark this link for easy access. Morning Drop-Off Information
Student Drop-Off Procedures (Start of Day)
Who: All middle school students
When: Morning drop-off. Doors open at 7:35 a.m.
Where: The side of the middle school near Door 20
How: Proceed from the entrance driveway to the student drop off area. Vehicles will form a line in the drop-off loop and students will exit the vehicle at the walkway leading to the front of the building. Students will be greeted by Dr. Rigby and Officer PJ.
Late Arrivals
If your son or/daughter arrives past 8:00 a.m., please park in the front parking lot and sign your child in at the security desk. By doing so, we ensure that students who arrive late are properly accounted for and safe as they enter the building.
End of Day Pick-up Information
Student Pick-Up Procedures (End of Day)
Who: Parent pick-up students
When: Afternoon pick-up
Where: The rear of the middle school at Door 20
Parent/Driver Plan: Please park your car in the side parking lot. A Cedar Drive staff member will be present on the side in the afternoon to ensure that students are safe as they walk across the parking lot and arrive safely at their respective cars. When exiting, follow the car line to exit the parking lot.
Student Plan: Students will be dismissed from Door 20. Students will stand behind the yellow line on the sidewalk along the parking lot. When the student's see their parent/ pick up person in the pick-up area and all cars are stopped, students can cross the yellow line to enter their car.
After-School Activities/Club Pick Up
If you are picking your child up following an after school activity, please park your car at the east end of the front parking lot across from the CDMS cafeteria. CDMS staff will assist students as they cross the fire lane and safely connect with their respective ride.
Whether dropping off in the morning or picking up in the afternoon, please drive slow and take your time entering and exiting the Cedar Drive campus.
