Project Graduation
The Gateway Home and School Association is looking for donations for Project Graduation on June 20th. They are accepting both monetary donations and donations of various snacks and supplies.
Any monetary amount would help cover the cost of the evening which will include games, food, music, a photo booth, a class souvenir and more. Donations can be made in the form of cash, check (made payable to Gateway H&S) or Venmo @Gateway-HASA. Details can be found in the attached flyer.
If you'd like to donate any supplies or snacks, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D45A5AB29ABFCC07-49915145-project#/

Adopt a Senior
We are continuing Gateway's Adopt-A-Senior tradition this year! The goal is for every graduating senior to participate by filling out this form, and they will receive a special gift or treat to make the end of their senior year extra special! The form must be completed by Friday May 31st.
All interested parents and community members are invited to join the Facebook group if they think they may like to "adopt" one of the seniors. The list of students to "adopt" will become available in June.
Let's make this as successful as possible and show our Gateway Senior Class of 2024 our appreciation and support them on their future endeavors! If you have any questions, please reach out to Sharon Snyder sharonmsnyder21@gmail.com or Jenn Kiesel jennkiesel@comcast.net.
Graduation Signs
Graduation signs will be available shortly. The cost will be $25 each. Please email gatewayhasa@gmail.com
Magic Gardens
Last week students in Mrs. Bittner and Mrs. Ruiz-Huntbach's Spanish Classes attended a trip to Magic Gardens in Philadelphia where they learned about the artist Isaiah Zagar and how a great deal of his work was inspired by Mexican culture. Then, the students enjoyed lunch at Casa Mexico where they met Cristina Martinez, one of the most prominent figures in Philadelphia’s food scene.

Student Success Team Celebration
CERTIFIED!
What do the Gators do on the last day of Mental Health Awareness Month? We get certified in Mental Health First Aid!
That's right. These fine seniors below who are headed into helping professions in education, healthcare and civil service are being trained by Mental Health Association in New Jersey, Inc.
Big thank you to Danielle Crawford and Dr. Kellie Slade from Rowan College of South Jersey who trained our students on how to recognize and find help for people who may be suffering with mental health issues. They led a fantastic interactive hands-on training for students today which will continue on Monday.
It's good to know we are sending some fantastic Gators out into the world trained and ready to be "boots on the ground" in helping professions.
