Letter from the Principal
Greetings PPA students, families, and community,
We are in the final stretch! We have 5.5 days before summer break begins, time has really flown by!
Please remind students that ALL Chromebooks should be turned in by Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Please note that missing Chromebooks can incur a fee and seniors will not receive diplomas.
SUMMER SCHOOL!!!
Please check your emails for summer school updates and confirmation.
We are asking for families to check for missing and damaged Chromebooks AND return them to PPA’s main office. If you need to know how many Chromebooks your scholar has signed out to them, reach out to Ms. Kathy at 608-834-5503. Please be aware there is a fee for missing Chromebooks. Families could be charged up to $250.00 for each missing Chromebook.
FYI: Drivers Ed information from the district!
The Sun Prairie Area School District Drivers Ed program does not maintain a waitlist. Students must have successfully completed the required 30 hours of Traffic Safety class (offered through Summer School only) to apply for Behind the Wheel training. Students who successfully complete the classroom portion will receive a certificate of completion in their district email. When applying for Behind the Wheel, the students will be sent information on the forms that must be completed and submitted to the Department of Motor Vehicles to get a temporary driving permit.
Take care,
Ms. Sconiers

Please use this number when calling in a student for an absence, illness or an appointment. We have been seeing a lot of students leave school early without a guardian/caregivers permission. School is excused at 3:20pm.
Nurse Notes
Please pick up all your child’s remaining medications on the last day of school unless they are going to need these medications during summer school.
Medication can NOT be sent home with the student.
If you anticipate medication(s) will need to be administered at school next year, a new medication consent form will need to be completed.
Please see the attached form.
For non-prescription medication the form just needs to be filled out and signed by the parent /guardian. For prescription medication your health care provider will need to either complete and sign the “Medication Administration Consent Form” or provide a copy of their own electronic school medication form.
A parent/guardian also needs to sign the form.
Please bring the labeled medication container and completed forms to the school health office at the start of the next school year.
Medication that is NOT picked up by a parent or guardian will be disposed of at the end of the school year.
Algebra-
In Algebra students have been working on quadratics. We are finishing up the workshop launching rockets. We timed how long the rocket stayed in the air and then used quadratics to find how high the rocket flew and it’s velocity.
Yearbook
The Yearbook workshop has finished production on this year's yearbook and will be distributing them to advisories soon! This year yearbooks will be available free of charge. Great work team!
JAG (Job’s of America Graduates)Notes:
The students that are taking Driver’s Ed are almost done with the online course, next steps will be taking the permit test and Driving Behind the Wheel. I hope to offer Driver’s Ed again in the Fall. This summer in JAG I will have students really focus on what Career they are interested in. We will do research and make a Career vision board to support what career the student is interested in. Students will also get to go on some field trips this summer; Brooks Tractor, Prairie Athletic Club, and UW Madison Science building (students will do a science project). I’m also signing up students for CareerForce Build Up through the Boys and Girls clubs; they offer many different workshops throughout the summer.
