CVHS BiWeekly: Graduation & Summer
For the Week Beginning June 3, 2024
CVHS Weekly Schedules for the Finals Week and Graduation 2024
Greetings, Falcons!
This year has gone by so quickly and I can’t even believe it is June already! I am so proud of all of you. We’ve taken important steps, as a school, in helping one another feel like they belong at CVHS. We’ve grown in our recognition and respect for the diversity of our school population and we are more inclusive. We still have work to do but it feels like we are committed to that work. I am also proud of our academic, athletic, and artistic accomplishments as a school. We have so much to celebrate! I hope during the next 8 weeks, you make sure you take time for yourself and breathe. Live in the moment and enjoy being 14, 15, 16, 17 years old. Trust me, it only happens once! One day, you will sound like me and many of your teachers saying, “Remember the old days when…” I look forward to seeing each of you in August grow into your next grade level. I am excited to welcome the Class of 2028 to CV and look forward to all they will bring with them.
To the class of 2024, thank you for being you. I’ve gotten to know so many of you and I truly look forward to all you will accomplish as citizens of the world. Remember to come back and see us (with appropriate ID of course 🙂) and tell us all you are doing. Good luck and know that you are loved by your Falcon Forever Family.
June is Pride Month. Recognizing Pride Month is essential for fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. It is a time to celebrate the contributions, history, and culture of the LGBTQ+ community while promoting acceptance and understanding. By acknowledging Pride Month, we stand in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ peers, affirm their identities, and commit to creating a school where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected. This celebration not only enriches our community but also teaches us the importance of diversity and human rights.
Final Exam Attendance
FINAL EXAM ATTENDANCE: Please prioritize your students’ final exams this year. We appreciate you planning vacations AFTER final exams. For an urgent situation that does not permit your student to take their final exam, please work with the teacher to make arrangements. However, know that missing an exam can greatly affect your students grade and/or earn them an incomplete in a course where they will have to make up the exam later.
