Five Good Things in Spring

Roberson MS wrestling squad stepped into the Houston City Tournament and made some serious moves, bringing home 10 medals and a 2nd place team trophy! 🏅💪 Axel Hernandez and Raphael Coronado are our Houston City Champions. Special shoutouts to Sebastian Alvarado, Yerik Romo, Jordan Mannings, Leo Robledo, and James Chicas for their 2nd place finishes, and Johan Gonzales, Mason Arizpe, and Christian Wells for securing 3rd! And that’s not all—besides being the only wrestling team in Spring ISD, they ranked as the #1 public middle school wrestling team and #2 overall in the Houston area. Watch out, Houston—these Razzors are just getting started! 👊

Who says schools can't get a cool upgrade? Thanks to the district’s $850 million 2022 bond, Winship Elementary is feeling the chill with a brand-new $507,000 chiller! ❄️🏫 Construction crews powered through hot sparks to install the chiller and replace floors around the school. A huge thanks to everyone behind the planning, construction, and development of these projects, and an extra shoutout to the Spring community—your support makes these improvements possible! 💚

Surrounded by proud friends and family, Spring ISD’s star athletes had their moment to shine during National Signing Day! Senior standouts from Westfield, Spring, and Dekaney high schools made it official, signing letters of intent to continue their athletic journeys at colleges and universities across the nation. 🌟 From football and baseball to even rowing, 20 talented students committed to schools near and far, including Rice University, Howard University, and the University of Southern California. The future is bright for these amazing student-athletes! 🎉

Huge congratulations to the Spring High School Band Winterguard for their incredible performance at the Texas Colorguard Circuit Regional hosted at Morton Ranch High School! These talented Lions dazzled the crowd and claimed the top spot with their breathtaking routine. 🎶✨ Hard working? They got it! Precise? You know it! Amazing! Of course they are! They’ve shown us all what excellence looks like. Way to go, Winterguard—you’ve made Spring ISD proud! 🦁
