Our heartfelt condolences....
Some of you will remember Keely, as a wonderful teacher who taught in both our senior and middle school. Her sense of fun, passion for teaching, love of sailing, the ocean and everything Australian, will be remembered fondly and talked about often, as we celebrate her life and offer support to Craig and Mila.
A Condolence Book is in place at the office for anyone wishing to leave a message or share a memory, that will be given to the family at a later date.
From the Principal's desk...
Nau mai haere mai! Welcome back to the start of our final term. Term 4 is an action packed term with lots happening for our students. I ask our Stanley Avenue students to continue to ‘Strive to Succeed- Whaia Kia U’ in all that they do.
Student Attendance
Term 3 Outstanding Attendance Certificates will be handed out next week. Student’s whose attendance was 97% or higher for the term will receive these certificates. It is pleasing to note that 49 students have achieved this. Another big cohort achieved 94- 96%.
The table below outlines the Ministry Attendance targets for 2024 and 2026 and our Term 3 Attendance against this. It is pleasing to see that we are already meeting one of the 2024 targets. Across the whole school our average attendance was 88% for Term 3
The Stanley Avenue Board of Trustees is excited to announce that students who achieve 90% attendance over Term 4, will get a family/whānau entry for the $100 Pressie Card prize draw. In addition to the pressie card, there will be a family entry to the Te Aroha Pools.
Term 4 attendance will be calculated at the end of Week 9 and the prize draw will take place during our final Prize Giving in Week 10.

Congratulations Mel
Mel is an absolute gem and we would be lost without her. She makes cleaning our school look easy peasy, and I can assure you, it is hard work.
Thanks for the cheery "Hi ya Darl' when you walk in the door each day and for everything you do for our school, Mel. We love ya!!
Welcome back to term 4 in the gardens.
It was great to see so many of our students pop along to the gardens and take the time to weed, tidy and plant. This week we have more strawberries going in.
We are extremely appreciative to have received a supply of rescue plants to add to our gardens. A huge thank you to Gardencrete Product and Services.
Congratulations to our Term 3 Week 10 Certificate Recipients
