Message from the Principal
Dear Kimball Hill Parents,
Thank you for your flexibility during drop off and pick up with our newly installed fence. While construction may bring some challenges, we are all so excited for our new addition. Students are already starting to ask what the new classrooms will look like and who will get to be in them.
A big thank you to every parent that completed the 5Essentials survey! We are now at a 24% parent completion rate. We have surpassed many of the schools in our district and have two weeks left! Please help us be the top school with the highest completion rate! We can do it, Kimball Hill Parents!
The raffle winner will be announced prior to Spring Break.
Please email me a screenshot after completion if you would like to be added to the raffle.
The survey can accessed by following this link: the 5Essentials Survey website
As a reminder, Kindergarten Dual Language applications for next year are due Friday, March 15th! If you have an incoming Kindergartener interested in Dual Language, please apply online. This is also a very important time where staffing allocations are designated for next year and with lower enrollment, we can lose teachers. PLEASE register online as soon as possible!
As always, please email me any time with questions, concerns or feedback. Thank you for your continued support!
Warmly,
Michelle LaCamera
Kimball Hill Principal

Dress Code
As the weather begins to warm up soon, please keep our district 15 dress code in mind.
The dress code is established to promote a positive, psychologically safe, and appropriate learning environment. A student’s appearance, including dress and hygiene, must not disrupt the educational process, compromise the standards of health and safety, or contribute to a hostile or intimidating atmosphere for anyone. For your convenience, the policy is linked below.
Community Resources
It is with great excitement that I share one of our very own amazing parents, Mr. Chavez is behind an effort to bring back a health clinic at the East Park Apartments to provide mental health and wellness assistance to residents in need.
Please click on the link below for more information.
Dual Language Concert
I am excited that our district has the opportunity to host a Dual Language Family Concert with 123 Andres to celebrate Spanish and English language and literacy through music! 123 Andrés recently won a Grammy for the "Best Children's Album" of the year! Most importantly, it is a great way for our families to celebrate the goals of our program and engage together in this event, which is so important to building cross-cultural competencies! Click and check the following video.

Illinois Assessment of Readiness Test

Registration for 2024-25
Online student registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open. The year ahead brings many new and exciting initiatives to District 15! One such something new is that this is the first year we will offer FULL-DAY KINDERGARTEN for every student. Additionally, many of our schools are undergoing construction which will be completed for the upcoming school year, AND our 6th graders will join their adolescent peers in our newly restructured middle schools.
The first day of school for the 2024-2025 school year is Thursday, September 5 for grades 1-8 and Friday, September 6 for kindergarten and early childhood students.
Please visit our registration page to begin registering your child(ren) for school. Doing so helps us solidify staffing for our schools, allows your child(ren) to be placed on a class list, and allows your child(ren) to ride a bus to and from school. Registration MUST be completed and student fees must be paid by July 1, 2024. With close to 12,000 students to place in a classroom and on bus routes, we ask that you please do your part and register on or before July 1.
