Marlow Monday Message
Monday, November 4th, 2024
Gooooooooood evening Marlow Families -- I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!!
Spoken like a broken record...two notes still remain as it relates to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and Marlow Elementary:
- We are still experiencing issues with our regular phone lines. If you need to contact the school, please use this temporary number (828) 451-8716. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
- Yes, Marlow Elementary is still under a 'Boil Water Advisory', so our water fountains and bottle fillers are still taped up. Not to worry - We have plenty of bottled water on site for student and staff use, and everyone has been great adjusting to this temporary challenge.
On a much newer note, CONGRATULATIONS to the 224 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students that were recognized on Friday at the Q1 Honor Roll Recognition Ceremony. Awesome job, everyone!! Your next challenge is to continue to grow - Be better than we were yesterday, and help those around grow as well! We would love to see that number top 240 by the second quarter!
Congratulations as well to our Marlow K-Kids on a successful 'Sock-tober' Sock Drive!! Although final sock numbers have not been released yet, we had full sock boxes at the ends of each hallway, all headed to the Salvation Army to assist in Hurricane Helene relief efforts. Great job everyone, and thank you Marlow K-Kids!
REMINDER: No school tomorrow because of Voting Day. See you on Wednesday, Buckaroos!!
Be well,
John

No Outside Food or Drink
A reminder to our students and parents that it is against federal regulations for students to bring in restaurant foods (a.k.a..Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, etc...) into the school building during the school day in which breakfast and lunch are being served.
That means that students cannot bring in Starbucks or Dunkin Doughnuts in the AM, and parents are not allowed to bring in restaurant food if coming to eat with their child.
Thank you for your attention to this.
