TODAY! E-learning and Parent Teacher conferences!
NEXT WEEK TUESDAY 11/5 is another E-learning Day!
This e-learning day will be one where part of the day is spent online live with teachers! Look to your child's teachers for more information or reach out to them with specific questions about the day.
50 days of K?!?
This week we celebrated our 50th day of Kindergarten. We had a wonderful day full of learning and we all looked adorable dusting off our best 50's inspired outfits and celebrating with a root beer float and sock hop where we learned the hand jive baby!!! We can't wait to see what the next 130 days of K will bring!
Pie your teacher in the face!!!!!
Remember our pie fundraiser? Students that sold 5 or more pies got to cash in and put a pie in their teachers face. Students that sold 15 or more pies got to put a pie in our principal Mrs. Gutierrez's face!!
Thank you to all that came out to our Trunk or Treat event!
Way to go Miss Kelly & Mrs. Cohen's Class! Who is going to be next?!?
Please update emergency clothes in your child's backpack!
It’s that time of year where the weather is changing. Remember those bags of emergency clothes in your child’s backpack? Please swap out the summer clothes for fall clothing. Please also make sure your child’s emergency bag has socks and underwear in it. If your child doesn’t have a bag in their backpack- please make them one!!! One outfit, one pair of socks, and one pair of underwear. This is for any emergency your child may encounter here at school, not just bathroom accidents. You never know when they may slip in mud or chocolate milk will attack at lunch!!
Way to Be Excellent On Purpose!
Did you know that you as parents can nominate a staff member to be recognized as someone who is Being Excellent On Purpose? Dr. Buffington LOVES to know about and celebrate the positive!

School City of Hobart Receives $118,000 Grant to Benefit Hobart Infants and Toddlers!
We are thrilled to share some exciting news! School City of Hobart Brickies from the Start -formerly Building Brickies has been chosen as a recipient of an Early Years Initiative grant, a funding opportunity led by Early Learning Indiana and generously supported by Lilly Endowment Inc. This grant program aims to enhance the learning and development of infants and toddlers in Hobart, IN.
Through this incredible opportunity, Brickies from the Start will be able to strengthen our efforts in supporting the cognitive, social-emotional and physical wellbeing of the youngest members of our community. Our mission has always been to strengthen families of children from pregnancy until kindergarten entry to help all Hobart children thrive, and this grant aligns perfectly with that commitment.
With this grant, we will be able to expand our program through hiring an infant and toddler specialist who will ensure that all Hobart children, their families and childcare workers, will be equipped with information and resources for developmental screenings and support . Our goal is to make a lasting impact on the lives of our little ones, providing them with a solid foundation for a successful future. We firmly believe that investing in early education and development sets the stage for lifelong learning and success.
We are dedicated to serving families in Hobart and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we reach.
