Teacher Selected for Grant to Travel to Africa
We are so excited to announce that Round Lake's own Justin Frieman has been selected as one of 14 educators in the country to be awarded the Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad (Short-term) grant from the American Association of Teachers of French. This grant will bring French teachers and curriculum writers to the University of San Pedro in Cote d'Ivoire to learn and write K-16 French curricular units on a variety of topics including women entrepreneurs, beekeepers and local storytellers.
Mr. Frieman is an educational technology specialist for Round Lake Schools and is the theater manager for Round Lake High School. He was selected from 90 applicants to participate in this incredible opportunity. Please join us in sending our congratulations. We are so proud to have you in our district, Mr. Frieman!
