DATE CHANGE Basketball tryouts - Now October 27: All Grade 7&8 players who are interested in playing basketball will participate in the tryouts. The tryout date is Sunday October 27 from 8:30-11:30 am in the Speirs gym. The gym will be open at 8:15. Bring a water bottle and a healthy snack. If needed, a second tryout date will be announced after the first one is complete. We encourage everyone who has an interest to participate! There are multiple team options and having everyone try out together will give coaches a better idea of how to accommodate as many players as possible on the available teams.
24 Hours for the Unhoused: From November 12 at 1 PM to November 13 at 1 PM, students taking part in 24 Hours for the Unhoused will engage in workshops hosted by Resilience MTL, Bread and Beyond and Dans la Rue, and will spend the evening sleeping at Selwyn House in the West Yard (under supervision). Students will be encouraged to reflect on their experience, discuss lessons learned, and consider how this event changed their perspective on houselessness. We will ask participants to bring a “Soup and Socks” donation. More details to come for how all community members can donate! If you are interested in participating, please complete this application form.
Selwyn House Fan Shirt - Update: A HUGE congratulations to Eli Raisman (Grade 10) for his fan shirt initiative! Eli’s determination demonstrates that if you have a passion and want to see it through, we’re here to support you! If you have an idea related to community engagement, please reach out to Ms. Segal, and she’ll help you bring it to life!
Message from the PVA - Call out for Halloween Helpers! In a galaxy far, far away (the Macaulay building, to be exact), the Senior School Prefects voted and it's unanimous - Selwyn is bringing the Star Wars theme to this year's Halloween festivities! As we all know, the Force is strong here at Selwyn, and we'd love to get your help in bringing this theme to life. Signup using the links for Advance Halloween Decorating on October 25, Halloween Animating on October 31 and Halloween Clean Up Crew. Thanks so much for your support!

We’ll provide the ice, brooms, and hot pizza to fuel your victory (or just your appetite)! Instruction available for beginners! Cash bar on site. Sign up now before spots melt away!
