EMS Absence Reporting
Please use this website to report your child's absence for Esperanza Middle School.

Important Information

Monday, January 13th will be a B day.


The end of the 2nd marking period is Friday, January 17th. Please talk with your child and check their grades to ensure they don't have any missing work.


As a reminder during our winter season, students are not permitted to wear blankets in the building. Additionally, students cannot wear ski masks in the building. Please contact your child's Assistant Principal with any questions.

After School Activities

All after-school activities end at 3:30 pm. Two or more late pickups will result in removal from after-school activities.

Monday - Math Counts and Symphonic Band

Tuesday - BATB Jr. Music: Belle, Beast, Potts, Chip, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Babette, Wardrobe, LeFou and Gaston

Wednesday - Honors Chorus and Jazz Band

Thursday - BATB Jr. Music & Blocking: All Enchanted Objects: Be Our Guest, Civil Air Patrol, and Pep/Pitt Band

Friday - None

EMS Theater Fundraiser

EMS Theater is having an online, 4-day Double Good Popcorn sale to raise funds for our production of Beauty & the Beast Jr. Our sale goes from Tuesday, January 14th, at 10 am to Saturday, January 18th, at 10 am. Funds will help to provide costumes, props, and set pieces for our amazing cast and crew. Winter Intramurals

Winter intramurals will start the week of January 27th. We will offer Basketball, Volleyball, Fitness Club, and Chess Club. Permission slips are below and will be available in the cafeteria during lunches this week.

All schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 20th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

My School Bucks and the EMS Library in SMCPS
Families can pay for lost or damaged resources in My School Bucks. Resources include library books, laptops, chargers, textbooks, consumables, etc. My School Bucks is also used to put lunch money on your child's account.
