Principal's Update

Greetings Bulldog Families,

We had another great week of learning at Oak Prairie!

Take a look at the many different clubs that have started or begin soon. There is something for everyone and we encourage students to get involved and explore their interests.

Important September/October Dates:

Sept 18th - Fire Drill/Severe Weather during Advisory
Sept 20th - School Safety Drill - (see the form to opt out)
Sept 26th - 6th Grade Forge Field Trip
Sept 28th - Top Golf PFA Event - for OP students Only! (see flyer)
Oct 4th - Fire Drill with Fire Department
Oct 4th - Picture Retakes
Oct 14th - No School
Oct 17th - Fall Band Concert (7pm)
Oct 21st - 22nd - Boys Basketball Tryouts (see below for flyer)
Oct 23rd - OP Jazz Ensemble with Brass Tracks at North & Maple (7pm)

Clubs & Activities

Lunch Procedures

Students must have their ID to pay for a school lunch.

You can add money to their ID by sending a cash or check to school or by using MySchoolBucks.

Cross Country

This week, the cross country team hosted a meet against Joliet Washington and Orland Hills Bernadin Catholic. The following placed in the top three in their races: Sadie Eissing, Sophia Turek, Brayden Klacko, Nate Kwasneski, Lucy Schroeder, Daniella Castaneda and Sam Wasilewski. The following day they traveled to Summit Hill for a five team meet. The following placed in the top three in their races: Sadie Eissing, Brayden Klacko, Lucy Schroeder, Eli Zimmerman, Tristen Sola and Isabella Karas.

Boys Basketball Tryouts

Monday Oct. 21st

6th/7th Grade = 4:15 - 6:00

8th Grade = 4:15 - 6:00

Tuesday Oct. 22nd

6th/7th Grade = 2:30 - 4:15

8th Grade = 2:30 - 4:15

SOS After School Academic Support

Is your child in need of extra support with homework, studying, or reteaching? SOS will run every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and students can take the activity bus home after SOS. The Activity Bus Permission Slip must be on file with the office before a student is allowed to ride the bus.
