Parent Bulldog Bulletin!
Stuart Mesa Parent Newsletter #24 week of 3/31/25
What's Happening @ Stuart Mesa?
Notes from the Principal:
Hi Parents,
Thank you to all the families that attended our Lunch on the Lawn last Friday and our Family Art Night held Friday night. I was able to get a few pictures from the event and included them in this issue of our Parent Bulldog Bulletin.
Can you believe we are almost at Spring Break? The year is flying by. We are closed for Spring Break April 7th-11th. We return to school April 14th. When we return, we will be celebrating Month of the Military Child. Our fantastic PTO has generously purchased all students a special purple shirt which will be given to the students this Friday. They have decorated the campus with purple pinwheels and have many fun activities planned for the students. Please see more information on our dress up days and special projects below.
Both Mrs. Vasquez and I wish you a wonderful Spring Break next week!
Sincerely,
Dr. Heffernan

Congratulations to Madison B.!
Stuart Mesa was invited to a Purple Star Celebration held by San Diego County Office of Education at SeaWorld. Madison B. was asked to be the emcee. Her confident speaking skills and amazing smile impressed the over 300 guests representing 87 schools receiving the Purple Star. Thank you, Madison B. for representing Stuart Mesa!
The California Purple Star School Designation Program (Purple Star Program) seeks to reduce the burden on military-connected students and their families by articulating the most critical transition supports available. The Purple Star Program is a way to publicly recognize and designate schools that meet specific requirements and signals which schools are the most committed and best equipped to meet the unique needs of these students and their families.

Lunch on the Lawn!
Stuart Mesa hosted over 350 parents and family members on Friday's Lunch on the Lawn. So many parents took time out of their very busy schedule to spend time with their students. It was also great to see so many families who shared their meal together making it a community event!
April is Month of the Military Child
Our PTO along with our teachers have planned a lot of wonderful activities. We will be painting purple rocks. Every Friday we will wear our new PTO Purple Up T-shirts provided for all our students. The students get them at the end of this week. Month of the Military Child Spirit Week will be April 14-18 when we get back from Spring Break. See Dress Up Days Flyer below.
We need your help for a special Month of the Military Child Project.
