A Message from Principal Anita O'Neill
February 16, 2025
Dear Coyote Community,
As I watch the local news, I can hardly believe we’re preparing for yet another winter storm this week! After years of mild winters, it’s easy to forget that occasionally we have seasons like this one. The frequent disruptions have certainly made it challenging to build momentum with our Semester 2 instruction, as both staff and students work to overcome the start-and-stop rhythm we’ve experienced.
These interruptions make it even more important for students to stay focused and engaged, ensuring they master the concepts needed before the end of the school year. We kindly ask that all students arrive to class on time and remain present for instruction and support. With the end of February quickly approaching, we have just about three and a half months until summer break — not a lot of time, so every minute of class counts. Caregivers, your help in reinforcing these expectations at home is invaluable in helping students understand the urgency created by the weather-related interruptions.
Please take a moment to check out this week's updates for information on Black History Month, the SGA Clothing Drive, and our upcoming SAT Day. We also have a few celebrations to share and a huge thank you to our amazing PTSA for showering the staff with treats on Valentine’s Day — your kindness and generosity mean so much!
Finally, if the predicted winter weather does arrive, please monitor local news sources for updates on road and sidewalk conditions, as well as any potential impact on our school schedule.
Wishing you all a warm and wonderful week!
Warm regards,
Ms. O’Neill

Survey from 2/9 Newsletter
Thank you for those who were able to complete our survey included in last week's newsletter. If you missed it, here it is again.
Our mission is to provide a high-quality education for all learners, rooted in the belief that every student can succeed through differentiated instruction and support. To gain a more comprehensive understanding of how we’re doing, I would greatly appreciate caregiver feedback. If you have a few minutes, please take this short survey, which includes the same questions we used in our summer caregiver focus groups. Now that we’ve completed the first semester, your insights will be especially valuable. Thank you in advance for your time!
