A Message from Superintendent Patrick
Dear Panthers,
Wow, the school year is flying by! Here we are already to November. It has been a wonderful start to this 2024-25 school year. I have been able to witness so many wonderful things our students and staff have accomplished thus far.
Some of those achievements are: Beta Club and FFA showing out at regional and state competitions, our volleyball team finishing 5th in conference with several big wins this year, twin brother and sister golfers both qualifying for the 5A State Golf Tournament, Cross-County Teams continuing the tradition of winning, the football team ending a three year long loosing streak and having a chance to make the play-offs going into week nine, the Panther Marching Band qualifying for the State Marching Competition, Film/Broadcasting, and Graphic Design Students performed at the Ozark Media Arts Festival and brought back 11 titles (Three 1st place, four 2nd place, and four 3rd place), PBS doing a story on our State Champion Unified Cheer Team, 33 high school students were announced to be inducted into the SSHS National Honor Society, the Baseball team was 1 of 347 teams across the country to receive the Academic Excellence Award from the National Baseball Coaches Association, HOSA and TSA students rocking it at their National Conference, two SSHS students receive the National Merit Scholarship Commended Students Award. The list is never-ending. We have so many awesome students.
We also have several staff members who are excelling. Valerie King, Director of Gifted and Talented Services, was recently named the the AAEA Legislative Committee, as well as asked to give Education Secretary Oliva her views on how we can improve accelerated learning for students across the state. Dennis Yocham, Assistant Principal at Allen Elementary, was nominated for AEAA Assistant Principal of the Year for the State of Arkansas.
The District has recently obtained the ATLAS testing results from last spring. Our teams are diligently analyzing the data to identify ways to support our students in enhancing their academic skills. We are in a never-ending cycle of growth. We teach and assess, then see how we can improve. Then start the process over. We have great staff and I am so proud of the way they work to give our students the best opportunity possible for success.
We truly have so much to be thankful for here at the Siloam Springs School District. Our students and staff are leaders across the state and region of the country. I am excited to continue to watch them continue to do their great work. We are a community that truly supports our students in ALL areas. It is an honor to be a Panther!

Food Service Shout Out!!!!
I want to recognize the work all of our food service workers do each day for our students. This wonderful group of people dedicate themselves to making sure our students are fed nutritious meals. They always do it with a smile on their faces and care in their hearts. I am so very appreciative of each and everyone who serve our Food Service Department.
