Fall 2023 Parent Survey RESULTS
Each Fall, the administration disseminates a Parent Survey to all enrolled families to gather feedback about school programs, new initiatives, and other important elements of the Father Doyle experience. The online survey was shared with all families via the Weekly Info in December this year, and also included in our Trimester 1 in Review letter. This year, 28 families participated in the survey.
I am pleased to share with you results from our annual Fall Parent Survey here. In this document, you'll find an overview of survey responses including numerical averages for key questions and sample comments provided by parents. Perhaps most importantly, the document outlines actions being taken by the school based upon feedback shared within the survey. As reflected in the response to this survey, as well as the extensive 4-Year Strategic Planning process undertaken last year, Father Doyle School remains committed to partnering with parents and families to ensure the continued growth of every child and the flourishing of our school community.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, ideas, and feedback in this survey, and I look forward to continuing to partner with each of you in the years ahead!
Virtue Corner - Virtues in Practice for the Month of January
With a new month comes a new virtue in our Virtues in Practice program! You can see the saints for each grade level span, as well as the suggested home projects for the month of January in our Virtue corner below.
This month, students are studying the virtue of gratitude: seeing everything as a gift and being thankful. We look forward to recognizing our VIP Award Winners at the end of the month!
FJVD Annual Auction - March 25, 2023
Our Annual Auction will take place on March 25th this year at the Quonset O Club. This is one of the school's biggest fundraisers and helps support initiatives to replace classroom furniture to create new learning spaces for our students across the grade levels. Last year, we were able to purchase new furniture for our kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 8th grade classrooms, and we hope to continue this progress with new grade levels in the year to come.
This year, in support of the auction, we are asking that each family donate one gift card (of any denomination!) - supporting a local business, one of your favorite eateries or stores, or even an extra gift card you may have from the Christmas season. Gift cards will then be utilized to create package items for the silent Auction as well as support other initiatives during the course of the evening. Gift cards can be sent to the main office in an envelope marked "FJVD Auction."
If you'd like to learn more about our Annual Auction, the next Auction Planning Meeting is being held Saturday, January 14th at 10:00am in the Learning Center. Thank you so much for your support!
