The Tomball NJROTC completed their Annual Area Managers Inspection on Tuesday November 19th. The inspection is over seen by the Area 17 manager, Commander Johnson, who is responsible for all NJROTC programs in the Houston and surrounding areas comprising of over 30 different schools. The THS cadets performed superbly during this inspection demonstrating their ability to prepare for uniform inspection, march and drill. The company finished the inspection with a pass in review show casing their ability to march in mass formation. The area manager noted that "if he had to choose a command staff to represent Area 17, THS NJROTC Command Staff is the one he would pick". Upon completion of the uniform inspection, march and drill, the Area 17 manager conducted an administrative inspection of the unit in which the unit scored perfect scores in all areas. Once the complete inspection concluded, CDR Johnson noted that the "THS NJROTC has set the bar very high for other units in the Area to follow". Way to go THS NJROTC in another awesome inspection and continued excellence. We are the "PRIDE OF TEXAS"

Congratulations to the speech and debate team for their success at last weekend’s Katy Taylor HS speech and debate tournament.

Quarter-Finalists in World Schools Debate – Reena Gaid, Kegan Cherry, Hazel Roberts, Hannah Obregon, and Ashley Bardin-Berenger AND Ross Stroble, Sienna Altom, Arav Mehta and Eric Wolfe

Congrats to Hazel Roberts for placing 2nd in Program of Oral Interpretation and 1st in Dramatic Interpretation.

Way to go team! We are proud of you!

Congratulations to Cole Abril for breaking the 21 year old Tomball High School record in the 100 freestyle.

Isabella Muir broke the 14 year old record in the 200 freestyle.

The 200 Medley relay team broke last season's record.

Elaine Overmen broke the 11 dive record

Elaine and Siena Hernandez finish in the top 8 in both the 3m and 1m dive and advance to San Antonio in December.

Alyssa Thompson works hard getting seniors to the finish line. She helps prepare them for post high school life by coordinating guest speakers and exploring real world opportunities. Patient, positive, and kind, Mrs. Thompson even drives students to campus visits!

We had quite the celebration this week in Cougar Land!

Sandra (Dominguez) Williams returned to complete her journey towards high school graduation. It takes a lot of courage to come back after facing life’s challenges, and we are proud of her decision and determination to earn her diploma. We wish her well as she starts her next chapter as a high school graduate. This is what it means to be The Pride of Texas!

• College & Career Classroom Videos - Every other week, Mrs. Nichols will share videos for each grade level covering many college and career related topics throughout the year. Videos and presentation links will be shared in each grade level Schoology course for students to refer back to and parents to stay in the loop. Videos posted in grade level Schoology courses under 24-25 Classroom Videos & Slides section.
• Grade Level Schoology Courses - Each grade level will have their own Schoology course provided by Mrs. Nichols, College & Career Counselor. Here students will have information on events, event sign-up, C&C Classroom Video library, C&C Series information, rep visit sign-ups, and more. Parents do not need to do anything to join the course. Once the student joins, parents will have access through their own Schoology login. Information will be provided for parents who do not have accounts set up yet.
