An Announcement From Our Principal, Mr. Gartland
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer vacation, filled with lasting memories with your loved ones. I am truly honored and privileged to begin another school year at Marysville High School.
At Marysville High School, our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to fostering a positive, challenging, and academically-focused learning environment for all students. Our goal is to provide engaging learning activities that promote high levels of critical thinking and reasoning, with an emphasis on applying knowledge to real-world situations. Last school year, I was thrilled to see so many students challenging themselves academically. This year, in response to student interest, we are excited to offer four new Advanced Placement courses: AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, AP Government, and AP Literature.
A key component of a successful school is the strong partnership between the school and parents, working together to support the best interests of our students. I encourage parents to stay actively involved and to reach out to administration with any questions or concerns.
Students, I urge you to explore something new this year. With our wide range of athletic programs, fine arts opportunities, and clubs, there is something for everyone to enjoy. As many recent graduates can attest, your four years of high school will pass quickly—so make the most of it!
If you have not done so yet, please view the document below with very important information regarding the first week of school, class connections, and calendar dates you won't want to miss.
