National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans as we celebrate heritage rooted in all Latin American countries.

Understanding and appreciating cultures and valuing diversity are core values for us at Clayton. We will be learning about and celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at our school. We encourage you to talk with your child about the contributions of Hispanic people in our community, our state, and our country, and perhaps in your family, as well.

On Orange Shirt Day, we recognize the damage the residential school system did to Indigenous children, lifeways, and cultures. Students and staff are encouraged to wear Orange Shirts in remembrance of children who were held in Indian Boarding Schools. House Bill 174 designated the last Friday in September as American Indian Heritage Day. Friday, September 27, is American Indian Heritage Day in Texas.

Missed picture day in September? Kiddo have a questionable picture? Never Fear, a Solution is Near!

If your student missed the initial picture day, or started as a new student after that Sept 12, they're automatically added to the re-takes list. If your students' picture was just NOT all-that? Fill out the form below.

Purchase a yearbook before October 18th for $30. The price will go up after that date.

Yearbooks will be distributed the last week of school.

Clayton Elementary PTA invites you to participate in our annual Family Fitness Night, Superhero Edition! Throw on a cape and bring the family to the Clayton gym, where we'll be rotating through stations that get our bodies moving!

Your student can join the National PTA Reflections Arts Education Program!

The Clayton front office has a new system for checking in visitors. **You will need to bring your ID *EVERY TIME* you come to visit or pickup your cardinal early!**

If you are coming for lunch, please arrive 5-10 minutes early to make sure we can get you checked in before your student’s scheduled lunch.
