Dear Almond Families,
It is Day 2 of our ramp-up to online school and I have heard that teachers are feeling good about the connections they are getting to make with their students through Google Meet, Classroom and/or SeeSaw. I have enjoyed peeking in on each virtual classroom and exploring what students are viewing, sharing and posting. I've seen some really sweet pictures of at-home learning spaces. Keep them coming! Thank you for being patient and flexible with us as we get everything in motion.
Responsible Online tool Use
As students continue to familiarize themselves with the online tools, it is critical that we have your partnership in monitoring their learning and use of the tools. Teachers are using this time before full instruction begins to review norms and expectations for learning. We thank you for supporting our efforts for responsible digital tool use as well.

On a more personal note, I thought it would be fun to share that #athomeschoollife at the Matteroli house is slow-going but getting there. My little guy is logged in, connected and has submitted his first assignment. My 5th grader is awaiting further instructions from his teacher and is “dutifully” doing his 30 minutes of reading each night. We were so excited to visit “Disneyland” recently.
