Conferences are an integral part of our district's Strategic Plan goal focused on Communication & Community Involvement. That goal area states: "WBSD will create systems for consistent and effective methods of two-way communication and engagement for al stakeholders." Thank you for partnering with us in our mission to support your child's needs by providing the opportunities, experiences, and educational tools for their journey.
Reminder from Transportation
Transportation is provided for West Bloomfield School District elementary resident students. The Middle School and High School students have a 1-mile walk area. Safe, efficient, and friendly service is our goal and we will strive every day to accomplish this.
We will do our best to arrive at your child’s bus stop on time. There may be delays due to road conditions or heavy traffic. All buses are equipped with 2-way radios and we are able to contact your child’s driver, as needed.
Students should arrive at their bus stop 10 minutes prior to pick-up time to allow for weather and traffic variances. Remind your child to wait at a safe location away from traffic and vehicles. We encourage all parents to review the Transportation Handbook with your student.
DON’T LOSE YOUR RIDING PRIVILEGE - PLEASE FOLLOW THE RULES
- Be courteous to your driver and other students.
- Observe same conduct as in the classroom.
- Do not use profanity.
- Do not eat or drink on the bus.
- Keep the bus clean.
- Cooperate with the driver.
- Do not smoke or vape.
- Do not be destructive.
- Stay in your seat.
- Students keep head, hands and feet inside the bus.
- The bus driver is authorized to assign seats.
- As posted on every bus: an unauthorized person attempting to board or boarding the school bus is subject to citation for a civil infraction and may be ordered to pay a civil fine of not more than $500.

A Donkey, Fairies, A Love Potion: Is It A Midsummer’s Night Dream?
West Bloomfield High School’s Theatre Department takes on one of William Shakespeare’s funniest comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. When a runaway bride goes into the woods, fairies try to help and soon the night is full of chaos, a potion induced love match, and ethereal shenanigans. Will a wedding ever happen? Find out as we learn that “the course of true love never did run smooth.”
Join us on November 14, 15 and 16 at 7pm, and a matinee with ASL interpretation at 1pm on the 16th. Tickets can be purchased online at https://wbhstheatrearts.ludus.com/ or at the box office for $15, $10 for Seniors and $5 for students, at West Bloomfield High School Auditorium (4925 Orchard Lake Road, West Bloomfield.)
A huge group of students are working on and off stage building sets, making costumes and designing hair and makeup.
Lead actors are:
Oberon ……...Brandon Young
Titania………Ellena Guinn
Puck ..………Pixie Renny
Lysander ……Donovan Elledge
Demetrius …..Nyzaah Simpson
Hermia ……...Sarah Lauerman
Helena………Lynn Barber
Bottom………Matthew Weiss
The award winning West Bloomfield Theatre Department is excited to bring to life one of Shakespeare’s most entertaining comedies. The imaginative team of designers have pulled together an experience for your eyes as well as your ears, with their colorful costumes, sets, makeup and hair.
“Working with these super talented students on a piece like Midsummer seems like it would be daunting,” said Mrs. Kristine Stephens, the West Bloomfield High School theater director, “but they just rose to the occasion and shocked me with their creativity, insight, and risk-taking! This show is beautiful, fun, hysterical, and filled with immense talent all around.”
If you think Shakespeare is not your thing, actor Kennedy Williams, who is playing Philostrate, has a message for you, “I hope the audience can learn that Shakespeare can be shown in many different ways and be as diverse as you want it to be.” We are confident that you will come away from the show saying as Bottom, “I have had a most rare vision. I had … A Midsummer Night’s Dream!"
November 14, 15 and 16 at 7pm, and a matinee with ASL translation at 1pm on the 16th.
