We are thrilled to welcome all students and families back for another school year! Below you will find all the information that you need to start off the school year!

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Class assignments will be in WITS on Friday, August 23. You will need to log into WITS, and select “Classes” at the top blue ribbon to see your child’s teacher. An opportunity to provide input was taken from families as we developed balanced classes. Requests to change a teacher will not be honored.

We will be hosting a WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL MEETING VIRTUALLY FOR ALL FAMILIES - NEW AND RETURNING.

Mrs. Skinner will WITS mail a link for the meeting at a later date.

On Monday, August 26, from 4:00 to 5:45 pm we welcome all CP families to come to the playground for a casual meet and greet (with popsicles!). In addition, we will have the building open for families to Explore CP, navigate around the school and find their classroom. Teachers will not be on sight and this is not a time to drop off supplies. This is a time for your family to familiarize yourself to CP. Thanks to our PTA for sponsoring this event!

Kindergarten - Tuesday, August 27 - 3:00 pm - Meet the Teacher and Supply Drop Off

Wednesday, August 28 - 6:00 pm - Adult only Open House - Cafeteria

1st Grade - Wednesday, August 28 - 7:00 pm -Adult only Open House - Classroom (This is a time to bring in supplies.)

2nd Grade - Thursday, September 5 - 6:00 pm - Adult only Open House - Classroom

3rd grade - Thursday, September 5 - 7:00 pm - Adult only Open House - Classroom

4th grade - Thursday, September 5 - 5:00 pm - Adult only Open House - Classroom

**Students in Grades 2, 3, and 4 should bring in their supplies in a staggered fashion over the first few days of school.

If you did not order your supplies thought PTA, you can find the supply lists here: SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS. (PTA ordered supplies will be shipped directly to your home.) Please note: UPK does not have a supply list. The only items UPK students need to bring are personal items - towel, lunch bag, water bottle, change of clothes, etc.

BRINGING SUPPLIES IN TO SCHOOL:

K students will bring their supplies on Tuesday, August 27, at the teacher Meet/Greet. 1st Grade students will have their families drop off their supplies for them at the Parent Open House on Wednesday, August 28. All other students will bring their supplies to school in a staggered fashion over the course of the first few days of school.

Mrs. Holme will be available to receive any medication from families as follows:

• Friday, August 23 - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

• Monday, August 26 - 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

When you drop off the medicine you also need to provide updated orders from the doctor for the 2024-25 school year.

UPK and Kindergarten parents are encouraged to join us in the Commons after drop-off!

Tuesday, September 3, from 8:00 to 10:30 am. (Come and go as you please.) Take a breather, have a coffee, and get to know other parents!
