Wow! What a great start to the year! As we embark on a new school year, I want to take a moment to express my excitement about the great start we’ve had! It’s been wonderful to see Moore students back in the classrooms, eager to learn and grow.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our parents for your support and involvement. Your partnership is invaluable, and it truly makes a difference in our school community.

As we transition into fall, we have many exciting activities and events planned. I look forward to sharing these experiences with you and your children.

Moore Elementary is super proud to have been adopted by Cypress Bible Church! They officially adopted us with Cypress Fairbanks ISD. They will support us in multiple ways and we couldn't be more excited. Cypress Bible Church has been a huge support system to Moore and we look forward to continuing this partnership and it making a positive impact on the students and staff.

Safety continues to be a top priority at Moore Elementary. We truly enjoy having visitors come to Moore. We ask that you please make sure not to hold the door open to anyone behind you when you enter the building. Your child's safety is number one to us; therefore, we make sure to ask each visitor their intent for visting. If the door is left open for others to walk into the building, we are not able to obtain the nature of their visit. Thank you for assisting us with this.

School hours are from 8:15 AM to 3:40 PM, with doors opening at 7:55 AM. For your child’s safety, please ensure they are not left unattended outside the school building. Staff will not be available to monitor your child, so we ask that your child is not dropped off or waiting anywhere on the campus until 7:55. Students that arrive after 8:15 are considered tardy. At that time, a parent or guardian will need to sign the student in with the front desk receptionist.

We love to see your furry friends! We know they might enjoy a breath of fresh air and a fun car ride. Please be mindful that your animals are not let out of the vehicle in the car rider line and that the they do not have access to other students walking down the car rider line. We want to keep all students free from too much excitement that dogs may show towards them.

Dismissal starts at 3:40 PM. If you need to change your child’s transportation, please submit your request in writing to Moore@cfisd.net no later than 2:30 PM. To avoid disrupting dismissal procedures, any students leaving early must be picked up from the front office by 2:55 PM. Please note that any changes with student transportation will not be accepted if an email is sent to your child’s teacher. You must email Moore@cfisd.net in order to make a change.

Students are doing an amazing job riding their bikes and scooters to school! They are parking them on the racks and locking them up for the day! We have some exciting news! We will be getting 2 more bike racks installed. One will be on the other side of the school, where walker gate A is located. The other bike rack will be installed right next to the current bike rack. With the increase of bike and scooter riders, we do ask that scooters and bikes be riden only on the street. Our goal is to make sure that students and staff walking on the sidewalks of the school do not get their feet run over by a tire or wheel. Please visit with your child and remind them to walk with their bike or scooter as they make their way to the street.

We want to provide the best customer service possible at Moore. However, we do know that students may forget items left at home. If you bring that item to school, we make every effort to get it delivered to your child. The only items that we will deliver are medication, glasses, and/or their laptop. Just please know, it may take some time before we are able to get it back to the classroom. We are not accepting lunch drop offs as we do not have the staff to make lunch deliveries throughout the day. We will also not accept any food deliveries from Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc. Please do not worry as we will make sure your child does not go without a lunch. They can still get a lunch from the cafeteria. If you want to bring your child their lunch, you can come during their lunch time and deliver it to them. We have limited lunch visitors to one parent/guardian a week so that all parents or guardians have an opportunity to come to lunch.

The campus can not accept any flowers, food, or gift deliveries for students.

All Cy-Fair ISD students have been provided a Chromebook and charger to use during their school experience. Any accidental damage to a Chromebook will be covered by the district if the student creates a support ticket explaining how the device was damaged.

Any lost charger or intentionally damaged Chromebook will require payment by the student/parent. Please click the link below to learn more about the charges and fees.

Attention 5th grade parents! Please use the link below if you'd like to purchase a vinyl print decal that will be placed on the hard top/sidewalk by the playground! This is a great way to celebrate 5th grade students' last year at Moore and all the students and staff will see it as they walk across the sidewalk. The Moore PTO is handling purchasing and a 5th grade print REVEAL date will be shared at a later date. Orders end November 15. At the end of the year, students will be able to get the print from the sidewalk/hardtop and keep it as a momento. ALL proceeds from the sale of the prints will go towards the 5th grade party! Please help us support celebrating the 5th graders by purchasing a print!

Please note: Once the vinyl is purchased, you will need to fill out the form that is on the emailed receipt. This will give us the student's name and their icon choices. If you don't go in and fill out the form, we won't know what name they want on it.

Moore Elementary is a PBIS campus. Please encourage your child to model "ROLL" behavior, which stands for Respect, On-Task, Loyal, and Leader. Our goal is to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Student birthdays on the marquee can be purchased via SchoolCash. We can schedule birthdays that occur over breaks and over the summer when purchased in advance. This is a fun way to recognize your child's birthday! The graphic will be on the marquee as part of the rotating graphics. It will post the day of their birthday and remain in rotation for 48 hours. The cost is $20.00 and all funds support PBIS. This will be ongoing all year! If you choose, you can take a picture of your student next to the marquee!

If you have any items of clothing, especially in PK/Kinder size, the nurse would greatly appreciate the donation. Mrs. Derosa is in need of items, mainly pants and underwear. We truly appreciate any items you can give!

The fall book fair will take place beginning October 24 - October 30. Students will be able to preview books on October 22nd. We are super excited to have a book fair and all proceeds from the book fair benefit the library!
