Each year, Hoover City Schools recognizes students who exemplify good character through the Finley Character Recognition program. At the elementary level, each homeroom teacher selects a nominee for her class. One overall grade level recipient is selected for each grade and those students are recognized at the annual Finley Recognition Program which will be March 20th.

We are very proud of all of our Finley classroom nominees and our grade level representatives.

During Library class, 2nd-5th graders have been using the Alabama Virtual Library (AVL) to research, learn new languages, and find great eBooks! 1st graders used the AVL to research on PebbleGo, read eBooks on Capstone Interactive, and have some fun on Britannica Fundamentals! The AVL databases are safe, reliable sources of information. The AVL is available to anyone in Alabama - check it out at Home | Alabama Virtual Library

It’s Spring Soccer season at Asbury UMC and kids ages 4-10 are invited to play! This causal, community league is a great introduction to soccer and practices begin the week of March 17. Register today: https://asburybham.org/soccer.
