ECHS OWL Update
February 9, 2025
Early College High School News
Mission Statement
Our ECHS Owls are taught to have H.O.P.E.--faith in the premise that they can create OPPORTUNITY and a better future through EFFORT, HARD WORK, and PERSONAL COURAGE. This idea of H.O.P.E. is woven into the fabric of our ECHS family.
Greetings ECHS Community!
Thanks to the members of our school community for a productive week together!
KUDOS to our ECHS Culture Club and Black Student Union, supported by Mr. Jones, for helping to craft the Black History Month Profiles shared within the daily announcements and February OWL Updates!
As we enter the latter part of the 3rd nine weeks, the overall (ie. Social, Emotional and Academic) success of every ECHS Owl continues to remain our TOP priority. Without doubt, our teachers and staff have continued to diligently work with our students to support academic success in all their courses. Yet, until we can report that we have a 100% passing rate (ie. In High School & ACC classes) for all ECHS Owls, our focused work as a campus team will continue.
We have and we will continue reaching out to our students (and their parents) who need to raise their grades in one or more courses, by completing/making up missing assignments and assessments. The efforts to improve grades before the end of this third nine weeks will be targeted and will include the following campus support strategies:
Students checking in with their teachers and professors for reteach, assistance and to ask questions.
Students participating in class office hours.
Students attending tutorials sessions.
Please be reminded that support during class times, classroom office hours and tutorials; is available to ALL ECHS students.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
GO OWLS!
Dr. Wilson
