TRACK MEET for Grades 4-6
Our BK track meet for students in Grades 4-6 will take place on Wednesday, June 12 starting at 9:15 a.m. at the Fowler Track. BK students will be bussing to and from the event.
This day is organized as the culminating activity for the Physical Education Track & Field unit AND to determine who will move on to the SAPEC District Track Meet on June 24, 2024. All students are expected to participate as it is part of our Physical Education program unless excused for medical reasons.
Please help your child by ensuring that they are dressed appropriately to compete in Track and Field events. Students need to bring water, a hat, sun protection, and perhaps mosquito repellant. Proper athletic footwear is critical and students should have extra/proper clothing in the event of inclement weather.
In the event of inclement weather, events will be the timed and measured during regular PE blocks at school.
Adopt a BK Flower Box this summer!
To beautify the front entrance of Bertha Kennedy, the BK School Council Garden Committee invites families and businesses to "Adopt a BK Flower Box" for the summer. Sponsorship costs $50 for a full box or $25 for half, with donated funds cover flowers, soil, and fertilizer. As a token of appreciation, sponsors will be acknowledged in the BK school bulletin, on our social media pages, and with outdoor signage displayed until the fall. Use the FOBK Linktree to fill out the form to adopt a flower box.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Kate Andres at katemandres@gmail.com
