Have you ever wanted to act on stage? Dance on stage? How about building sets and costumes? Lights and sound? There's something for everybody in Shakespeare! Shakespeare is Mounds View's annual, completely student-led theater production. This year, the show is As You Like It: Welcome to the Circus. Scan the QR code for the Shakespeare website to join! ALPINE SKI: Do you love slalom ski racing or alpine skiing and are competitive and curious? The varsity alpine ski racing season is quickly approaching so it's time to start thinking about tuning your skis and hitting some gates. Registration is now open for the upcoming ski racing season! MUSTANG FOOTBALL - GOING TO STATE!
Congratulations to the Mustangs on their win over Prior Lake on Friday! Next up is Shakopee (AWAY) vs. Mounds View (HOME) in the State Tournament! Game is being played at Spring Lake Park on Friday (11/8). Gates open at 6:00 PM with kick off at 7:00 PM. Tickets should be purchased prior to arriving at the game—no cash sales and no passes. Fans will use the Main Entrance (door #1), which is located on the northeast side of the stadium. Mustang fans will sit in the grandstand located on the west side of the stadium.
Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Spectator/Fan Rules and Regulations
- Everyone must have a ticket to be scanned. Tickets may be on a mobile device or printed.
- No cameras allowed.
- No beverages, food or noisemakers allowed.
- No backpacks, duffel bags, briefcases, shoulder bags, etc., other than purses, allowed. All purses are subject to search.
- No balloons, laser pointers, noisemakers, air-horns, horns, drums, or whistles allowed.
- No weapons of any kind allowed, including licensed concealed carry weapons, knives, etc.
- No signs or banners may be hung in the facility; hand-held signs allowed (held by one person).
GIRLS BASKETBALL - CANCER AWARENESS ALL 1N!
The Girls Basketball Team continues to support families dealing with cancer and serious illness through their ALL 1N Fund! PLEASE join them by purchasing a highly fashionable, ALL 1N T-shirt or sweatshirt! Then show your support in person at the Girls and Boys Basketball doubleheader against St. Anthony on Friday (12/6)! Winter sports first day of tryouts/practice are as follows:
- Competitive Dance - October 21
- Girls Hockey – October 28
- Girls Gymnastics – November 11
- Alpine Ski – November 11
- Nordic Ski – November 11
- Boys Hockey – November 11
- Girls Basketball – November 11 (9th grade tryouts are 11/5 & 11/7)
- Boys Basketball – November 18 (9th grade tryouts are 10/28,10/30 & 11/6)
- Wrestling – November 18
- Boys Swim & Dive – December 2
Your athlete must have a valid sports physical on file prior to registering. Physicals are valid for three (3) years from the date of the exam. If your physical expires during the season, the system will not let you register. Parents can check the current status of the physical through their ParentVUE account by selecting the "Student Info" tab. The physical date is located at the bottom of the page.

This month we explore what you should know about the negative stigma around substance use and how you can have conversations with your child around this topic.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY - SENIORS
The Wallin Scholarship application is open. This scholarship is for any student who will be attending a 4-year school in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin or any HBC school. The scholarship is worth up to $16,000 over 4 years of college. There are requirements to be eligible for scholarships so take a look if you qualify.
