We have been working hard so that our students are prepared for the MCAS but there are some things that you can do to help assure that they are at their best on test days. Please make sure your child is well rested on test days and that they have eaten a solid breakfast if they are not having the school breakfast. Make sure your child is wearing comfortable clothing and is free from any items that could be distracting. It is extremely important that students are present and on time for testing days. The testing sessions begin early in the school day and we want to make sure everyone is settled in before starting the test.

It is important that we strike the balance between students taking the MCAS seriously and doing their best without putting undue stress on them. We spoke with students this week to highlight this point for them. It is also a message you can relay from home. Thank you very much for your continued partnership in your child’s education and please don’t hesitate to contact one of us if you have any questions.

Grade 4 - ELA MCAS - April 8th and 9th

Grade 3 - ELA MCAS - April 10th and 11th

Grade 3 - ELA MCAS - May 13th and 14th

Grade 4 - MATH MCAS - May 15th and 16th
