Principal's Message
Dear Springwater community,
Summer is right around the corner! We are in our last few weeks of the last grading period of the semester -- the final stretch of the academic year. Please continue to support your student and reach out to the school if you have questions or concerns about current grades in Synergy.
Our Spring Community Care Day was last Friday, May 25th. We spent the morning volunteering at Dabney State Recreation Area followed by a barbecue with games and activities in the afternoon. It was a great way to bring closure to the school year while helping out a wonderful natural resource in our area. Visit our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter for more information about this event and all the other great activities that occur each week at STHS.
As we look to the summer, Barlow's summer school will be held at Springwater Trail High School this year. Their campus is undergoing renovation thanks to the passage of the recent school bond. If your student needs to catch up on credits, this is a great summer to do summer school because Springwater students will be able to take their courses at Springwater! Call the office or reach out to Linda Centurion for more information.
It has been another truly wonderful school year! Enjoy your summer and we look forward to a new, exciting school year next September.
-Ryan

Gresham-Barlow Education Foundation Awards Grant for LEGO Mindstorms
Many students are familiar with LEGO blocks from their childhood. But the LEGO Mindstorm sets that the Gresham-Barlow Education Foundation awarded to teacher Brad Gerards take LEGOs to a new level.
Mr. Gerards plans to use the kits in programming and robotics as part of the Computer Applications course for STHS freshmen. Students will practice problem solving and teamwork skills as they work together to achieve programming and engineering tasks in an engaging way.
Grant funding for the Springwater Trail High School grant was provided by the Gresham-Barlow Education Foundation. The Foundation provides financial support for increased learning opportunities for every student in the district. This year, $20,000 was awarded to schools to enrich and enchance the education of Gresham-Barlow students.

Our 2018-2019 registration will be on Tuesday August 21st from 8am - Noon. Students will receive their schedule, and get their picture taken. This is an opportunity to pay fees, get bus information, etc.
