Veterinary pathway students from Bloomington High School spent the day at the VCA in West Los Angeles to see first-hand how the ins and outs of a fully functional animal hospital.
Career Options Fair Held at Redlands East Valley High School
Redlands East Valley hosted the annual Career Options Fair on April 24, 2024. This event brought 35 local businesses, colleges, military, and trades to our students to offer options and career pathways! Thank you to CRY-ROP and RUSD for making this event great.

BHS Automotive Technician pathway students explore automotive history and innovation at the Petersen Automotive Museum with the Auto 2 crew.
Bloomington High School Student Participate in Mock Interviews
Students at BHS learn important interview skills in their mock interviews with San Bernardino Probation, San Bernardino Sheriff, Rialto PD, Redlands PD, and AMR.
Colton High School's Welding Pathway Students Earn Certifications
Congratulations to the Colton High School Welding pathway students! Our outstanding students earned a total of 13 welding certifications. These certifications will open doors for them to secure entry-level positions in the welding field.
Ambassador Appreciation Dessert
CRY-ROP celebrated all pathway student representatives at the annual Ambassador Dessert Event. Each student was recognized for their outstanding leadership within their program and contributions to their school community.
Citrus Valley Student Recognized at Redlands Unified Board Meeting
Redlands Board Members recognized Citrus Valley High School senior, Lauren Silva, for her display of courage assisting victims of a traffic accident. Lauren used her EMR skills that she learned in her EMR 1 and EMR 2 classes to provide first aid and comfort until paramedics arrived. Lauren, your selfless actions are a shining example of courage and leadership!
Redlands East Valley High School Hosts Annual Mental Health Fair
Mental Health Pathway students at REVHS hosted another successful Mental Health Fair! This event connects REVHS staff and students with vital community resources and education, fostering a culture of wellness. Community members in attendance included the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health, RCSS, Spring to Autumn Counseling, Inland Empire Therapy Dogs, VPHTC, FSASB, Common Vision Coalition, Junior Achievers, and more!
Disaster Day at Grand Terrace High School
Emergency Medical Responder, Certified Medical Assistant, Theater Arts, and Graphic Design pathway students at GTHS joined forces for a disaster simulation test of their skills. Graphic Design students applied moulage to actors in a simulated automotive accident, while EMR and CMA students stepped in to triage and provide medical care. The hour-long simulation gave students the opportunity to experience the quick-decision making skills that first responders and hospital personnel use in real-life disasters.
Colton High School Students Compete in the Solar Boat Challenge
Colton High School CRY-ROP students from the Automotive, STEAM, Welding, and Graphic Design pathways showcased their student-built solar-powered boat at the Inland Solar Challenge. This three day event, held at Yucaipa Regional Park, includes an endurance, slalom and sprint race.
The team took home 1st place in Technical Reports, 2nd place in Technical Inspection, tied for 1st place in Public Service Announcement, and earned 4th place overall.
Yucaipa High School Holds Annual Disaster Day
Yucaipa High School Emergency Medical Responder, Certified Medical Assistant, and Criminal Justice students showcased their skills at our annual Disaster Day event. They responded to multiple emergencies, working together seamlessly to rescue victims and provide necessary treatment. A huge thank you to Cal Fire San Bernardino for their invaluable support. This hands-on experience is crucial in preparing our students for real-world challenges
Slover Mountain High School Child Development Students Earn Certificates
Children Development students at Slover Mountain High School received their certificate to apply for their Child Development permit through the CTC. This permit will authorize them to provide service in the care, development, and instruction of children ages five and below in a child care and development program in the state of California.

Human Resources Hosts Health Benefits Fair
On May 9th, the Human Resources team hosted an amazing Health Benefits Fair! CRY-ROP staff was able to speak to representatives from Costco, Sam's Club, Keenan, Kaiser Permanente, Anthem Blue Cross, Delta Dental, American Fidelity and Express Scripts. Also available to employees was the Kaiser Mobile Health Clinic, relaxing chair massages, raffles, and yummy snacks made by Culinary Arts students.
2024 Evening of Excellence
The 2024 Evening of Excellence was hosted at San Bernardino Valley College on May 15th, with the Student Showcase beginning at 5pm and the awards ceremony starting at 6pm. This annual event is hosted by the CRY-ROP Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 20023 to provide financially support to outstanding ROP students to promote and celebrate education success, encourage lifelong learning, and contribute to studentsβ future career and educational goals.
CRY-ROP Shares CTE at Redlands Unified School District Multicultural Fair
CRY-ROP had the pleasure of attending the Redlands Unified School District's Multicultural Fair! It was a wonderful opportunity for families to learn about the various career technical education opportunities we offer for middle school, high school, and adult students in Redlands.
Congratulations to our TIP Graduates!
Congratulations to Jessica, Robert, Lakeysha, and Sean on graduating the Teacher Induction Program (T.I.P.)! This two-year program helps to transition industry professionals into the classroom, equipping them with skills and tools to be effective educators. Each teacher is assigned a mentor who provides support throughout the program, building capacity and confidence in our team!

Education Foundation
The CRY-ROP Educational Foundation, Inc. enriches the experience of Career Technical Education students by serving as a catalyst and funding source for promoting and celebrating education success, encouraging lifelong learning, and contributing to studentsβ future career and educational goals. Funds raised through the Educational Foundation go directly to funding student award scholarships, which are presented at the annual Evening of Excellence.
