Mark your calendars! For ALL out of town trips, we have a MANDATORY trip meeting with ALL members and PARENTS. On Monday, 10/23 we will be ending rehearsal a little early to have our Waco-San Antonio trip meeting. We will meet in the Stadium if it is nice out or the IMPAC building (band hall is too small for this meeting).

Congratulations! You are the 9th TWB to advance to the UIL State Marching Championships in school history (1972, 2002, 2005, 2013, 2016, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023). This is the 4th advancement to the UIL State Championships in a row! You are part of an ELITE TEAM of band members from across the state. Next Monday, 42 of the best bands from across the state will compete at the 6A UIL State Championships. This is such an honor, and testament to the dedication you bring to your team on a daily basis. Enjoy the ride...it is an immense honor.

Just a reminder that the PSAT is given on Tuesday this week to students in grades 9-11. Seniors will not be in school on this day. Get a good breakfast and test to the best of your ability.

Get your tissues ready...THIS Friday evening is a very special and important occasion for That Wylie Band. We have the opportunity to honor the class of 2024 at their LAST high school home football game. Below is the schedule, as well as an online form to fill out (do this ASAP).

Friday, October 27th

• 5:30pm Seniors will receive a boutonniere to wear for the evening by Mrs. Stone’s office.
• Recognize seniors with their escort after the game in the Montgomery Center

5:00pm - Dinner
5:00pm - Change into uniform / Seniors get flower from Mrs. Stone for uniform.
5:45pm - Inspection (Marching Uniform)

Marching Show

• Priority 1 - Consistency - we need to learn how to perform under pressure and control tempo when we have nerves. Trust the process. We will get lots of reps this week!
• Priority 2 - Tempo Control - lots of big chunks with met on/off
• Priority 3 - Clean - Uniformity of rhythmic interpretation, choreo, and hand technique will be the focus.

1. Copy the URL for the Google Calendar you want to add to your iPhone
   
2. On your iPhone tap the Settings icon, then scroll down and select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
   
3. Select Add Account and select Other
   
4. Select the Add Subscribed Calendar option, fill in the Google Calendar URL in the Server box and click Next. Change any settings you see fit before saving the calendar. You do not need a username or password.
   
5. Toggle your view of the subscribed calendar by opening the Calendar app and tapping Calendars in the upper left corner. Tap a calendar name to either display or remove calendar events.
