Principal's Message
Lawrence Families,
Starting this week, our students in grades 3, 4 5 and 6 will begin very important state testing (CAASPP). It is very important that students come prepared and ready to do their best. We ask that students get a good night sleep during testing and arrive on time. We encourage everyone to take advantage of free, daily breakfast for all students. Studies show that people overall perform better with breakfast as a part of their day. Students have been working hard all year so we want their scores to reflect all their efforts and abilities!
CAASPP Testing Schedule (Grades 3–6)
Please review the schedule below for upcoming CAASPP testing. We appreciate your support in helping students arrive on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best!
-
April 14–18:
Grades 3–6 will begin testing in either English Language Arts (ELA) or Mathematics. -
April 21–25:
Makeup testing only for students who were absent. This week also serves as a brief testing break for others. -
April 28–May 2:
Grades 3–6 will complete the opposite subject from the first week (Math or ELA, depending on what they completed earlier). -
May 5–9:
Grade 5 students only will complete the Science portion of the CAASPP assessment.
Please note that the majority of testing will take place Tuesday through Thursday starting first thing in the morning and will conclude for the day, prior to each grade level's designated lunch. Monday's will be utilized for student practice and training and Friday's will be utilized to support student make up testing needs.
Thank you so much parents and guardians for your support and effort during this time! If you have any questions, please call the office, 209-331-7356.
