1st Graders traveled to Japan to learn about who helped invent the instant noodles for ramen, Momofuku Ando!
PUMPKIN PIE
You can’t have Thanksgiving without pumpkin pie, so we made our very own pumpkin pie in a cup! And guess how we liked it…? WE LOVED IT!
SCIENCE AT UW-MADISON
Our 6th Grade field trip to UW-Madison was full of fun new experiences! Students extracted DNA from a plant, visited a planetarium, and experimented with different blades on a windmill to learn which ones would collect the most wind. It was a great day!
AERO GARDEN IN ACTION
1st Graders tried kale chips from our aero garden in the library! Thank you to Mrs. Doyle for dehydrating them.
PLACEMATS FOR CARE CENTER
Kindergarten worked with their 3rd Grade buddies to make placemats for the residents at the Care Center! The students learned how to do leaf rubbings and created beautiful artwork.
GROCERY STORE
The 4K Grocery Store opened for business just in time for Thanksgiving shoppers!

Save the date! Mineral Point Wrestling will induct its 2024-25 honorees to the Allen E. Bauman Wrestling Hall of Fame Friday, December 20 at the home match vs. Belmont/Platteville. Congrats to Todd Doney, Matthew Gevelinger, and Troy Pittz!

GIVING TREE
Mineral Point High School Future Business Leaders of America are again sponsoring the Holiday Giving Tree to share holiday blessings! Our club is buying gifts for five children from Iowa County, as well as collecting gift cards for Mrs. Brunson and Mrs. Robb to use as needed in our own school district.
Here’s how you can help:
1. Pick an ornament, or two, from the tree in the high school lobby
2. Go shopping and purchase
3. Drop off the gift, or gift cards, in the High School office by Friday, December 13
4. We ask that you tape the ornament to your gift to ensure everything gets delivered correctly

Fans of #PointerNation! The Mineral Point Unified School District is pleased to announce we will again be offering GoFan for mobile ticketing for home athletic events this winter sports season.
Fans can purchase digital tickets online through our school’s GoFan page, the GoFan App, or by presenting a card or mobile payment option at the game. All major credit cards are accepted, along with Apple Pay. There is a service charge added to the purchase of each digital ticket which helps offset the cost to the district for this platform: https://gofan.co/app/school/WI13618
TICKETS WILL STILL BE AVAILABLE FOR CASH PURCHASE AT THE GATE, and previously purchased student/senior passes will still be accepted.

CLASS COMPETITION FOOD DRIVE

ALUMNI GIRLS BASKETBALL NIGHT
A reminder -- #PointerNation Girls Basketball will be holding its Alumni Night this Friday, December 6 during the home game vs. Cuba City!
We'll be honoring our very first girls team from 1974-75, along with the standout squads from 1977-78, 1987-88, 1997-98, 2007-08, and 2017-18.

All are welcome to join our vocalists for an evening of caroling during Gallery Night/Candlelight Shopping this Saturday! Meet at the corner of Chestnut and High Streets at 6 pm to sing before the fireworks. Please dress warmly, bring any jingle bells you want, and enjoy the holiday season.

Our MPHS Future Business Leaders of America are ready, willing, and able to help with your holiday gift wrapping needs Saturday, December 7 as part of Candlelight Shopping! Stop by the Chamber of Commerce from 5-8 pm. Donations are welcomed, but not required. Wrapping paper is provided, or feel free to bring your own.

The Mineral Point Excellence in Education Endowment Fund is again hosting a drive to help us fill our Care Cupboard! There is a need for these items in our schools:
