William D. Cuts Newsletter
October 2024
MESSAGE FROM ADMIN.
We are one month in and students have settled in nicely to the routine of school again. Volleyball is in full swing with senior and junior matches underway. Cross country running is also going on with districts having been completed and zone runs taking place in early October. All dates are the school calendar.
On September 25, W.D. Cuts was invited to take place in the 40th anniversary ceremony at the Telus World of Science. We were the first ever school to take a field trip to the science center and that’s why we were invited to participate and then were given free use of the facility. Thanks to all of the staff at the Telus World of Science for a wonderful morning.
Students participated in various activities on September 27 to honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Part of this will be the creation of some student work that will be displayed throughout the courtyard. There was a smudge to start the day and sharing circles to wrap up the activities.
Looking ahead into October, there are picture retakes on the 2nd, parent council October 9, no school on the 11th or 14th, and parent teacher interviews October 16 and 24.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Enjoy the lovely fall weather while it lasts.
