Meet our new Sequoia Adult School Assistant Director, Cindy Dominguez!
We are pleased to announce that Cindy Dominguez has been selected as our new Assistant Director of Sequoia Adult School, starting March 15. As many of you know, Cindy joined us as our school counselor this school year.
Cindy is committed to improving student academic success and promoting access to higher education. Her experiences as a counselor, dean, and professional development coordinator have afforded her the leadership skills to facilitate organizational growth. Cindy has spearheaded the design of robust data-driven programs that include college counseling, socio-emotional supports, and academic tiered interventions for diverse groups of students. Cindy’s work is centered around racially and socially just approaches that uplifts the idea that every single student is capable of, deserves, and has the capacity to attend and be successful in college.
Cindy approaches her work with integrity, from a student-centered framework, and is committed to building collaborative relationships across roles to meet all students' needs. She is inspired by the countless students she has served and believes that their accomplishments will result in equitable advancements for marginalized communities. Cindy is excited to continue to serve the Sequoia Adult School and looks forward to building relationships with the team, students, and families.

Once a week you are eligible to receive a week's worth of breakfast and lunch meals through Sequoia Union High School District Food Services.
Q: "Does the student have to be on the Free and Reduced meal program to qualify for free food?"
A: NO
Q: "Does the student need to be a current student at SUHSD?"
A: NO
Q: "Wait...does this mean any school-age child under 18 can get free food?!"
A: YES
ALL SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN UNDER 18 ARE ELIGIBLE FOR FREE MEALS.

COVID-19 Testing
Safe, easy and no-cost testing is widely available at County-sponsored locations for everyone who works or lives in San Mateo County regardless of symptoms.
Here's how to get a COVID-19 test:
- San Mateo County residents should first contact their health care provider for a COVID-19 test.
- If you cannot get a timely test through your health care provider, please select from the following Testing Options listed below for a no-cost test at a County-sponsored location. Insurance will be billed if available.
- Once you select the best option for you, make an appointment. Appointments at ALL TEST SITES are STRONGLY encouraged as there is no guarantee you will be seen without one.
- Remember to bring your photo ID and the reference ID from the confirmation email to your appointment. Please have your insurance information ready if available.

While COVID-19 vaccine supply remains limited, you can sign up for the County’s notification tool to receive notification when the State makes you eligible and information about how you may get an appointment.
This notification system is meant as an interim strategy as the State of California assembles a statewide COVID-19 vaccine notification system called MyTurn, which will offer online appointment scheduling for our area soon.
