Mattei Choir Newsletter

Welcome to the latest choir newsletter!

Solos/duets for the concert were finalized last week. If your student is participating in a solo, please make sure your student is practicing their solo/duet at home! We do not have the time during class to practice them every day. They should be memorized at this point in the process.

PLEASE NOTE - Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Winter Concert was moved to Friday, December 13th at 6pm in the PHS Auditorium. Students have been made aware of this information since the week before Thanksgiving Break. Students will need to have their own ride to and from the concert. Call time for soloists will be 5pm, while all other students will need to be seated in the auditorium and ready at 5:30pm sharp.

For this concert, students will wear their formal choir uniforms, with red accents (santa hats, red scarves, etc). The formal uniform for girls is a school-issued choir dress, with black dress shoes (flats or SHORT heels). For those not wearing a dress, the uniform is a black long sleeve dress shirt, black dress belt, black dress pants/jeans with no holes, long black socks and black dress shoes (we call this concert black). Girls need to wear their hair up out of their face in a bun of some sort. Dresses have all been distributed during class. If the length is not correct, please get the dress hemmed by a tailor or dry cleaner (such as Classic cleaners in Princeton). DO NOT CUT THE DRESS. Dresses are property of Princeton ISD and you will be held responsible for any damage to the dresses.

If your student received one of the slightly off-center t-shirts when I distrubuted them, I will let them know and they can bring their shirt WASHED back to me and I will provide them a corrected shirt.

Handbook forms and fees are past due. If your student has not turned this in, please make sure I get this ASAP!

Any remaining fee payments must be made via cash or check to "Princeton Choir".

Music memory practices have started! For information and practice times, refer to the google classroom invitation I sent to students who indicated interest.
