Mental Health Week
Join us from May 6 to 12 for the 73rd annual edition of CMHA’s Mental Health Week. This year’s campaign will explore the theme of “Healing through Compassion."
Compassion is the practice of meeting suffering – whether our own or the suffering of others – with kindness. We all have the capacity to be compassionate, and we know that doing so can make an enormous difference for our mental health.

World of Choices
J. C. Charyk Hanna School is excited to be participating in World of Choices (WOC), organized through Jr. Achievement, in Red Deer on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. All Grade 11 students have been registered to participate in this event.
WOC will be held at Red Deer Polytechnic beginning at 9:00 AM. Students will have the opportunity to speak in groups with career mentors in different occupations. This event provides students with the opportunity to ask questions to people who are already working in careers that they are considering for their own futures.
Students will depart from JCC promptly at 6:30 AM. We will be traveling by school bus and should return at 4:30 PM. Lunch will be provided but if your child has any food allergies they will need to bring their own lunch. Please bring snacks for on the bus, as we won't be stopping on the way home. Space is limited (there is a waiting list), we don’t want to hold spaces that will not be filled. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me at the school, (403)854-3642, ext. 6191 or email dana.forsyth@plrd.ab.ca.
