OGMS Weekly Update

Principal's Message
Hello Families,
Next week, we celebrate all of our educators and staff. Not only do our educators teach, they are also: motivators, mediators, organizers, collaborators, care givers, role models, directors, listeners, problem-solvers, comedians, facilitators and interior decorators. The amount of multi-tasking that is required to run a classroom is extraordinary and, truly, one of the hardest jobs there is. We are fortunate to have such an amazing group of committed educators that always put our students first.
We look forward to the daily celebrations being provided next week by community members and the OG Supporters. Please take a moment next week to share some well-deserved Appreciations to our teachers.
Have a wonderful weekend!
In Partnership,

Garden Clean Up - May 5th
Our Dragon Leaders and Leadership students had an opportunity to learn from Bekki Sims on how to create garden starts. The students are looking forward to getting their starts into the garden boxes in about 5 weeks.
Successful School Survey Opens May 6th
Our school values your feedback! Starting Monday, May 6, we will be asking you to take a brief survey to tell us about your experience with Ockley Green. To ensure we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and career, we need your feedback. We want to know what YOU think.
The survey will open on May 6 and close on May 31. You will be able to take the survey online at home, any time you stop in the office during school hours, or at our Nutrition Fair (see below) on May 16.
We thank you in advance for your participation as it will allow us to make thoughtful and well-informed decisions about school climate and culture. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Ms. JJB in the office at jjardeeborquist@pps.net.
Outdoor School Sleeping Bag Donations
From our SUN Coordinator
Hi Ockley Green Families!
In just a few short weeks, our 6th grade class will be heading to Outdoor School! Some of our families have reached out asking for support with a couple of items. SUN School is able to provide hiking/mud boots and warmer layers. There is a need for sleeping bags! If you have some to donate, please bring them by the school!! The kiddos deserve a warm bed while they're away.
Thank you much!
