Principal's Message
Dear Falcon students and families,
I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you a happy upcoming Thanksgiving weekend. I hope you will be able to get some well deserved rest and connect with family and friends! This past week saw our amazing F.L.I. students putting on some signature events for the community with their hosting of our first Drive In Theatre, and hosting an ACAC Basketball game featuring Kings College and Augustana in an action packed night. Both events were extremely well attended and our students organizational skills were on full display.
This week sees our Bev Facey community participating in "Read In Week", Cross Country Metro qualifying events, some important Volleyball league games, and numerous activities leading into the Thanksgiving weekend. As always, I expect our students to represent us with poise and the leadership skills that we expect, and they always give us a reason to be proud and thankful for each of them as members of our school community. Students and staff are all ready for this first milestone holiday of the school year. Some of the first major assessments will be done this upcoming week, and the long weekend will be a welcome extended break to give everyone the chance to rest and recharge.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Congratulations to Raine Cadieux (Art 20) on her fun alphabet illustration. Students were challenged with creating a children’s book styled illustration using a letter of the alphabet - while using the letter creatively within the composition! Well done Raine!!

EIPS School Fees Now Enabled on PowerSchool
Fees for the 2024-25 school year have been added and updated to your child’s account. You can view and pay school fees by coming into the school directly or conveniently by logging in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account. Fee payments can be made online via the PowerSchool Parent Portal using Visa, MasterCard or Debit. If you require assistance accessing your Parent Portal account, contact our office at 780-467-0044. We recommend logging into your account regularly as changes may occur throughout the year.
If you would like to set up a payment plan for the 2024-25 school year please contact our financial secretary, Melissa Martin. Having a successful payment plan allows your account to remain in ‘good standing’ allowing students to remain eligible to participate on athletic teams, non-curricular field trips, graduation activities and other school related events.
Elk Island Public Schools understands that families may face financial challenges that impact the ability to pay fees. Parents who find themselves in this situation can apply for certain fees to be waived using the Application for Waiver of Fees (505-2). A completed Application for Waiver of Fees form can be e-mailed to fees@eips.ca.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our business manager Joanne Warwa by email at joanne.warwa@eips.ca or by phoning the office at 780-467-0044.
