Solo and Ensemble Season Preparation
As we approach the Solo and Ensemble season, it's time to start planning your performance:
- Choose Your Piece: Consider what you'd like to play and the requirements of high school performances.
- Select Your Ensemble: Decide on the group or ensemble you will perform with. Students do not need to play in the same band or play the same instrument.
Resources
- Explore our music library for a variety of options. We highly recommend purchasing your own music to grow your personal music library.
- Check out this list of adaptable pieces that fit any combination of instruments you desire!
Stay tuned for more information about Solo and Ensemble in the coming weeks!
Concert Band Rehearsals
The Concert Band is broken up into 2 classes this year, which means outside of school rehearsals are necessary. In preparation of our Collage Concert, we will have 2 rehearsals in addition to our dress rehearsal. All rehearsals for the Collage Concert are as follows:
Thursday, October 10th from 2:30-3:30 pm
Tuesday, October 15th from 2:30-3:30 pm
Wednesday, October 23rd from 2:30-5:30 pm (dress rehearsal)
Congratulations Seniors!
It was a lovely night to honor our senior Marching Band members and their parents.
Homecoming Parade!
Congratulations on a great parade and all the band kids on homecoming court. Way to go Evan on completing the Band 3-peat.
Alumni Showing their Support!
Many alumni friends and family at the game this weekend. Some even decided to walk with us in the parade.

Note From Mr. Makarewicz
Tis the season for busy band kids! The month of October can be stressful for many. Look at your calendar often, ask questions, stay informed and be prepared. There are many commitments and while it can be daunting, it's always important to keep a positive mindset and look at your commitments as opportunities! Have a great "Bandtober"
