Dear Copper Hill Families,
We must give a huge shout-out to our Copper Hill Teachers! The week of May 6 is Teacher Appreciation Week and we are extremely grateful for our dedicated, kind, and professional staff. Please be sure to thank our teachers for the amazing work that they do each and every day to support our Cougars!
Thanks to our incredible PTO and our families for facilitating and hosting so many great events during the month of April. Our annual Walk-a-thon raised over ten thousand dollars. Thank you to our school community for your generosity. These funds will be utilized to support the installation of a electronic sign at the corner of Everitt's Road and our entrance. We also thank our PTO for sponsoring the upcoming Teacher Appreciation Week events. Thank you to all the volunteers who have supported us these past weeks and throughout the school year.
Many our families enjoyed Family Technology Night hosted by our technology Director, Mr. Ralph Losanno, and our technology integration specialist, Ms. Pat Flavin. It was a great evening for our families to explore STEM learning occurring in our schools. Thank you, tech team!

Spring Allergies
It is May and warmer weather is headed our way! Unfortunately for some, this also means the onset of the dreaded spring allergy season. Sneezing, runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes are common while the trees and flowers are pollinating. There are things you can do to help during this season:
Wash your hands and face after you have been outside.
Wear a mask outside if you are doing yardwork or mowing grass.
Wear sunglasses outside to protect your eyes from pollen.
Wash your hair every night before getting into bed to wash out any pollen.
Stay inside when pollen is very high.
Take allergy medicines. There are plenty of over-the-counter medications you can take to relieve the symptoms of allergies. They come in adult and children’s formulations and come in pill and liquid forms. There are also eye drops that can help with severe eye symptoms.
