WYASD Athletic Scores and Updates

As the school year winds down, here are just a few reminders for you to prepare your child for participation in a sporting event for the 2024-25 school year!

PHYSICALS

1. Summer Physicals at West York

1. We will host summer physicals at the high school on two dates this year:

1. June 6 & July 25 from 6-8pm.

2. Any student entering grades 7-12 may participate in summer physicals.

3. Please take advantage of these opportunities so that you don’t have to rush to get a physical completed right before the season starts.

4. The physicals will cost $15. You may pay with cash or checks.

1. Physicals on your own

1. If you don’t get a physical at the school, you must have a physical that is dated after May 1, 2024 and on a PIAA physical form in order to participate in a school sport.

1. You do not have to fill out the entire PIAA packet. All of that information gets filled out on Family ID. You should only need Section 5 & 6 of the PIAA packet when going to get a physical.

2. Physicals may be acquired at your family doctor, OSS or any urgent care facility.

NOTE: Once you get a physical, you are covered for the entire school year. Even if you only play a winter or spring sport, getting a physical done over the summer gets it out of the way and you don’t have to worry about it later on.

FALL SPORTS SIGN UPS

1. Fall Sports Registration (Family ID)

1. We will open up registration for Fall Sports on June 6 so that you may begin the registration process while you are waiting for your son/daughter to complete their physical.

2. We will provide chromebooks for you to use while you are waiting.

3. This is a great opportunity for anyone that struggles with the Family ID registration process to get help from someone from the athletic department.

MARCHING BAND SIGN UPS

1. Anyone that is planning on participating in the marching band will need to sign up on FamilyID (starting June 6).

2. You do not need a physical to only participate in marching band.

WINTER/SPRING SPORTS SIGN UPS

1. Winter sports registration will not open until early October.

2. Spring sports registration will not open until late January.
