TVHS Trivia
A new feature this year -- TVHS Trivia. Would you like to know more about TVHS? The staff had an opportunity to do just that. During the 12 days before Winter Break, the staff got to have some fun learning about some of the history of TVHS. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did. There will be a new Trivia question each week.
TVStrong
Hey Eagles,
Celebrating What It Means to Be #TVStrong!
Every week, we spotlight students who exemplify the core values of strength, teamwork, respect, nobility, and goal-setting—the heart of what it means to be TVStrong. Teachers and staff make time to recognize these outstanding individuals with positive referrals, celebrating their character, actions, and contributions. 2025-2026 Registration Information
It's that time of year again! We began the 2025-2026 Registration Process on Monday, January 27th. Students received their Grade-Level Registration Packet through their English class and watched a video on how to complete their registration form and their Course Plan in Infinite Campus during 3rd and 4th period. If your student was absent on this day, they should stop by the counseling office and grab their registration sheet ASAP. Additionally, you can click here to view the Registration How-To Video.
STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE THEIR REGISTRATION FORM AND INFINITE CAMPUS REGISTRATION (COURSE PLAN) COMPLETED NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, JANUARY 31ST!
Students will bring their registration sheets to school the following week so they can discuss their classes with their counselor. Here are a few important dates:
CURRENT SOPHOMORES: Will meet with their counselor on Wednesday, February 5th, to discuss their class options and turn in their registration sheets. Their counselor will also be checking to make sure they completed their Infinite Campus Course Plan.
CURRENT JUNIORS: Will meet with their counselor on Thursday, February 6th, to discuss their class options and turn in their registration sheets. Their counselor will also be checking to make sure they completed their Infinite Campus Course Plan.
If a student's registration sheet and Course Plan is not turned in by February 21st, your counselor will choose your classes for you next year, and you will not be able to change your schedule!
Please let your counselor know if you have any questions or concerns. Please also be sure to check your grade-level Google Classroom for important announcements and updates.
Sewing ELO Update
Thank you TVHS community supporters!
Because of your generous donations, our new sewing Friday ELO class has been well stocked with supplies and has 17 students enrolled! We will start this week.
BUT…I have more students that also want to learn! “SEW”… I will now be offering a SECOND sewing ELO on Thursdays! There are currently 11 students enrolled, but I have space for 5-6 more!
With more creative students participating I could use a bit more help with the following:
fun flannel in 2 1/2-3 yard lengths for pajama pants
2-3 additional easy pajama pants patterns
heavier cotton or lightweight canvas/denim for aprons
thread in neutral colors
basic fun cotton prints for personal projects ¼ to 1 yard lengths.
extra notions (buttons, bias tape, ribbon, etc. for decorations and finishing)
GIC - Geometry in Construction Update
We Passed our State Rough Inspection, and insulation inspections and are now proceeding to Finish Carpentry. A big thank you to Koala Insulation for helping with our GIC insulation installation last week. It was an itchy day but we were able to insulate all the exterior walls and ceiling with their help. Another shout-out to L&W Supply. They delivered drywall this morning, allowing us to stay on schedule and beginning to hang the drywall today in class. Today is the day when we hear many students saying that our house is "really starting to look like a house".
Pop-up Resource Center
Prom is almost here. Need a dress? There will be some formals/prom dresses available at the Pop-up Resource Center also. Come and take a look.

Did you know February is most notable for both valentines day and Black History Month? February is also the shortest month of the year, with only 28 days. - Google
February is designated as American Heart Month (AHM). Below is some information on the heart. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US. Everyday the heart consists of 115,000 beats per day, and pumps at least 2,000 gallons of blood! If your heart ever was disconnected from your body...it would still continue beating. More heart attacks occur on Mondays than any other day of the week! In honor of AHM, let's all take care of our cardiovascular systems!

ASVAB Test
Are you interested in going into the military after high school? And possibly knocking out some graduation requirements along the way? Sign on up for the ASVAB Test (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery)
The ASVAB Test will be held at TVHS on Friday, February 7th from 9am-12pm.
The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students, and is a required test in order to join the military (although anyone can take it, if you want to enlist or not). Taking the ASVAB does not automatically sign you up for the military, but is a great step to take if wanting to pursue enlisting.
Please reach out to your counselor for more information, or follow the link to sign up (https://forms.gle/cYL6cFBYD26ihyL27). You MUST sign-up before the end of January in order to take the test.
