Good Morning OES Families!
I would like to thank the 12 families that have taken time to fill out the School Climate Survey (linked below). This information is important to me and the OES staff as we continue to develop our school climate, and systems of student support. If you haven't completed the survey please take a moment to do it now.
Students in grades 3-8 either have taken a similar survey or will be taking it this week. Student voice is also important to developing our school climate.
I would also like to thank those of you that attended the Curriculum Night for Middle School. I felt that the conversations held were beneficial, informative, and critical to moving the learning of OES students forward. Thank you for attending! All students in grades 4-8 will be receiving a take home packet containing materials to assist them with homework completion. (Look for these later this week.)
Important Reminders:
Monday (November 11th) there is no school - it is Veteran's Day.
Please remember that all students have recess outside for at least 25 minutes a day. Students should be dressed appropriately to be outside. We are also continuing to have outside PE. Please help dress our students appropriately for these outside activities.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Shannon Laliberty, Principal
Your Input Is Needed!
Please complete this anonymous School Climate Survey for Families. The information will help us identify areas that we are performing well in, as well as areas that we can improve on. Your participation in this survey is critical to the OES staff. Estimated completion time is 5 minutes.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
Breakfast & Lunches for the Week
Students will be asked every morning if they are having the meal on the menu or if they would prefer a peanut butter or peanut butter & jelly sandwich instead. If students choose to bring a lunch from home and would like to purchase a milk - the cost will be $0.50.
Outdoor PE Reminders!!
Weather is getting chillier! P.E. classes are still being held outdoors unless weather conditions are not safe (thunderstorms). Please help remind your student to pack proper outdoor gear so they are comfortable during outside time.
- Water/Sneakers everyday!
- A dry change of shoes and socks if it's damp or dewey out!
- Jacket, thin gloves (so they still have full use of hands) and a hat on cool days!
- A raincoat in case it is sprinkling!
"ICY HOT" was the name submitted to the State for Naming a Plow Truck
