Dear Parklane Academy Parents,

We wanted to inform you that Dennis Uniforms has suddenly closed, a fact we learned last week from another uniform vendor. We have not been notified directly by Dennis Uniforms. Please note that Parklane was already in the process of securing a new uniform vendor for the next school year. We met with them (Zoghby’s) today to select our uniform items. We are negotiating with this company about servicing us sooner than next school year.

In the meantime, we want to ensure no one makes an unnecessary trip to the Dennis Uniforms store in Jackson, as it is now closed.

Any combination of Dennis uniform and/or Zoghby’s will be acceptable school attire for next year. We will provide further updates soon.

Students are learning about

CITIZENSHIP AND GRATEFULNESS

this month.

We have encouraged them to watch their friends and nominate someone that they feel exhibits these traits. We will be honoring one K3-K5 student, one 1st-3rd grade, and one 4th-6th grade student each month that exhibits these traits well! We can't wait to see how our students go above and beyond to reach these character goals.

November winners will be announced on Thursday, November 21!

This year we are doing things a little bit differently. We are asking all students to bring in supplies to pack shoeboxes together as a class. If your child wants to pack a box at home as a family, they are welcome to grab a box from the office for that as well. Let’s see how many boxes we can pack! Deadline to bring in supplies is Monday, November 18th.

It costs $10 to ship a box. If you would like to donate towards box delivery, please label the money accordingly and send it in your child’s folder. We will make sure it goes towards shipping.

Please send 1 canned good item to school with your child by November 13th to help support our local food pantry. On Thursday, November 14th, we will deliver to K106 in front of McComb Market. Let's see how high we can build our pyramid of food cans!

Parents, you must come inside the elementary to

sign your child in if there is no teacher on duty.

If your child is not signed in when tardy,

they will be counted ABSENT for the day.

Pickup in afternoons-

you may use BOTH lanes from 2:30-2:50

AFTER 2:50 USE ONLY RIGHT LANE

Parents, please come to the BACK door of elementary building to

pick up up your child even if it is closed/children are not on playground.

Children must be picked up by 5:30.

Please make sure fees are paid weekly.

Only 5TH AND 6TH grade students may use

the microwave in the cafeteria.

Please plan lunches accordingly for younger children.

NO STUDENTS with a negative balance of $25 or more will be allowed to charge in the cafeteria. Please make sure that balances are taken care of. Emails are sent out regularly from Lexington regarding this. Please write checks to Lexington or put cash in labeled envelope/ziploc if sending money to school for student accounts.
