FREMONT ELEMENTARY & INTERMEDIATE
May 20 - May 24, 2024
A MESSAGE FROM MR. LADENBURGER
Field Day - Popsicles
The Elementary School field day will be on Tuesday, May 28 and the Intermediate School field day will be on Thursday, May 30. Every year at the end of each grade level field day, we hand out a popsicle to each student. Below you will find the ingredients for the popsicle that we hand out. We are already contacting parents of students with known allergies but wanted to make everyone aware of what will be handed out.

2nd-5th Grade iPad Collection
This form needs to be filled out by Wednesday, May 22. If you do not fill out the form, we will assume you want us to collect your child's iPad at the end of the school year.
To help with our transition of iPads to Chromebooks for all 3rd-5th grade students we are collecting iPads, charging cords and charging blocks during the last 3 days of school for those parents who would like to turn them in now rather than on the first day of school next year. Over the past several summers we have had our students keep their devices over the summer so students could continue to access their educational apps such as Dreambox (Math), Lexia (Reading), MAP Accelerator (math), etc. All of these apps can be accessed from any home device as well and we will be providing directions on how to access those tools before the end of the school year.
This iPad collection only applies to our current 2nd-5th grade students but please note the two bullet points below.
- Extended School Year Students - We will wait and collect iPads at the end of our extended school year for any student attending ESY.
- Summer Boost Students - We will not collect ipads until the first day of the school year from all of our students signed up for Summer Boost.
To help with this process we need you to take a minute and fill out the form that is linked below to let us know if your child will be turning in their iPad at the end of the school year. Please make sure you fill it out for every child you have that is a current 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grader.
If you choose to have your child hold onto it over the summer, please note that you will still be responsible for any damages incurred to the iPad during the summer or for any lost iPads.
Medication Pickup
Fremont School District has set up guidelines for the administration and transportation of medications at school. These guidelines have been established in order to ensure the safety and well being of all children.
Parents/Guardians are responsible for picking up any medication at the end of the school year. All medication, including inhalers and Epi-Pens, must be picked up by 4:00 p.m. on JUNE 3, 2024. Please make arrangements to pick up your child’s medication. MEDICATION WILL NOT BE SENT HOME ON THE BUS WITH YOUR CHILD. ANY MEDICATIONS LEFT AFTER JUNE 3 WILL BE DISPOSED OF.
If your child will be attending any summer school programs, please let the nurse know and those medications can be picked up on the last day of their summer school session.
As a reminder, new Medication Authorization Forms will need to be filled out by the child’s physician each school year. Forms can be found on the school website in the Health Services section.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter. If you have any questions, please contact the health office.

FREMONT FIELD DAYS
The PTO needs Parent Volunteers.
Fremont Elementary School Field Day is Tuesday May 28 and Intermediate School Field Day is Thursday May 30. This is a fun day celebrating the end of the school year. The day is filled with games and popsicles!
As volunteers, you will be placed at game stations. The classes will rotate at each station. Please specify the class you would like. We will try to accommodate all requests and keep you with your child's class, but bear in mind we may need to place you elsewhere. Either way, you will see your child as the games rotate as long as you pick a time slot with their teacher.
Parents remember to send your child to school with a cold water bottle and a change of clothes/shoes for their time slot. The kids can take the water bottles outside with them and they can change when they get back into their class.
Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!
