We are so excited about the launch of our Avon Grove Middle School PBIS Program: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe. In the first week our 'Grove Bucks' store was open, 2789 bucks were redeemed for acknowledgements!! Those acknowledgements included Croc jibbitz, fidget toys, snacks, locker decorations, and experiences like Open Basketball with Mr. DeEmilio and Mr. Phelps! We love "catching" our students doing the right thing. #agmspride

We are excited to launch a Homework Help Club, starting next Wednesday, September 18. Students who participate will receive adult guidance in completing homework assignments. All participants must turn in completed permission slip, attached below, and will require parent pick-up at 3:30pm.

On Monday, October 7, we are thrilled to welcome Mr. Ben Hartranft , speaker and Autism advocate, to speak to our students. Mr. Hartranft, a published author and motivational speaker, will share his story and message that kindness and inclusion matter. Please see link below for more information.

The Avon Grove High School Volleyball team and coaches are hosting a one-day clinic on Monday, October 14th. All skill levels are welcome!

In 6th grade art, students are learning to draw contour portraits by using plexiglass to trace the outlines of their partners' faces. This engaging activity helps them focus on observing the contour lines and unique features of their classmates. It’s a fun, hands-on way for them to develop observational skills and recognize differences in shape, size, and proportion! Here are some photos from Ms. Meixell's class.

We will begin vision screenings September 24th during picture day for all students. Please make sure students come to school with glasses if they have them.

Reminder to parents:

6th grade: physicals are mandatory and due (they can be dated 7/2023 or later)

7th grade: Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines are past due. Immunization are mandated in the state of Pennsylvania to attend school.

If your child requires medication during school, it must be dropped off by a parent or guardian to the school in its original packaging with pharmacy label. Also the medication administration form must be completed and signed by the parent and medical provider.

Boosterthon is coming! Our annual Fall Color Run Fundraiser is back! Kickoff is 10/15 and the run is 11/1. Students will need clothes they are comfortable getting “colored” on the day of the run. We are so excited to host our only direct fundraiser of the year! Portions of the money earned will go to new gym equipment used by all students during active health!

Spirit Wear distribution will begin mid/end of October. Items will be given to students during advisory over the course of a few days. Thank you to everyone who participated! We will have a second sale in March.
